Hey, guys. So I just finished watching "Godzilla vs. Gigan", and it was really good. It is the twelfth installment of the Godzilla franchise. It also stars Hiroshi Ishikawa, Yuriko Hishimi , Tomoko Umeda, and Minoru Takashima, alongside Haruo Nakajima as Godzilla , Kenpachiro Satsuma as Gigan, Koetsu Omiya as Anguirus, and Kanta Ina as Ghidorah. The film follows the insect-like aliens from Nebula M who, after their planet is destroyed, plan to take over Earth using a new amusement park, World Children's Land, as a base. Meanwhile, Godzilla and Anguirus fight three-headed dragon Ghidorah and huge bird Gigan at a cartoonist's theme park. It is the last film in which Godzilla was portrayed by Nakajima after playing the character since the original 1954 film; he subsequently retired from suit acting.

I really liked this movie a lot. It was so exciting. The battle scenes are incredible, the music score is great, the new baddie of Gigan is terrific movie villain, the special effects are still impressive, even though dated, and the Japanese actors are good together. But one mixed aspect of the film I have is once again, reused footages from the previous films. I liked the battle sequence, where Godzilla and Anguirus were fighting together against King Ghidorah and Gigan. And the fight scenes were so brutal and so intense to watch, where there was blood spraying everywhere and on camera. I was so rooting for Godzilla himself. He literally got beaten so hard by the tower firing lasers at him. But thankfully, he got back up and finish the fight against Ghidorah and Gigan with the help of Anguirus, and he would never be defeated, no matter what. Anyway, it’s a very good, epic, monster kaiju movie, as this is my favorite Godzilla installment of the franchise. A marginal thumbs up for me on "Godzilla vs. Gigan".

Good morning, everyone. So I just finished "The 'Burbs", and it was pretty good. directed by Joe Dante and written by Dana Olsen. It stars Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern, Carrie Fisher, Rick Ducommun, Corey Feldman, Wendy Schaal, Henry Gibson and Gale Gordon. It tells a story about at suburban family man named Ray Peterson, who is at home on a week-long vacation, and suspects the "eccentric" new neighbors are hiding a dark secret. Late one night, he hears strange noises coming from the basement of his new and reclusive neighbors, the Klopeks. Ray and his other neighbors—nosy Art Weingartner, Vietnam War veteran Mark Rumsfield and teenager Ricky Butler—gradually suspect the Klopeks may be ritualistic murderers.

I liked this movie pretty much. It was crazy and hilarious. The direction is decently shot, the music score is great, and the cast members are good together, especially Tom Hanks, who is very spot-on in the role of Ray Peterson. One mixed aspect of the film is the written, as it felt kind of clunky, repulsive and predictable. But anyway, it’s a pretty good solid, gone-crazy, comedy-horror movie that has an engaging premise, likable cast and Joe Dante at the helm – so the mixed-up genre exercise they produce but failed. It does have some funny moments and decent acting, and tries to be like “BeetleJuice” and “The Twilight Zone”.  It is a disappointment, but a guilty pleasure gem. Thumbs up for me on "The 'Burbs".

Hey, guys. So I just watched "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo", and it was very good. It is a sequel to "Breakin'", seven months earlier the same year by the same producers, Tri-Star Pictures. Lucinda Dickey, Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones and Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Chambers returns their roles of Kelly "Special K" Bennett, Orlando "Ozone" Barco and Tony "Turbo" Ainley. The story continues with the three main dancers, Kelly, Ozone and "Turbo", struggles to stop the demolition of a community recreation center by a developer who wants to build a shopping mall.

I really liked this movie a lot. It was truly entertaining and even better than the first film. The dance scenes are amazing, the soundtrack is awesome, and Lucinda Dickey, Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones and Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Chamber are still really good together. The story is very interesting, where Kelly was disappointed with her small part in the chorus line of a Los Angeles show, then she quits and heads home. Her father disapproves of Kelly's friendship with street dancers Ozone and Turbo, and encourages her to pursue an opportunity to perform in Paris. Ignoring his wishes, Kelly teams up with her friends for a break-dancing benefit show to save an endangered community center. It's a very good, enjoyable 80s breakdancing musical film as a really guilty pleasure gem, with great songs, amazing dance sequences, and very likable characters. A marginal thumbs up for me on "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo".

Good morning, everyone. I just watched "Superman 2025" at Warner Bros. Theater Yesterday, and it was... really good. It is still based on the eponymous character from DC Comics, and is the first film in the DC Universe, and a second reboot of the Superman film series. It stars David Corenswet stars as the titular character, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced. Thie film tells a story about Superman, who faces unintended consequences after he intervenes in an international conflict orchestrated by billionaire Lex Luthor. Superman must win back public support with the help of his reporter Lois Lane and superhero colleagues, the Justice Gang.

I really liked this movie a lot. It was incredibly triumph. The action scenes are so cool, the story is well-told, the visual effects are very impressive, the music score is incredible, particularly the John Williams score, and David Corenswet is actually really good in the role, as well as Nicolas Hoult and Rachel Brosnahan, respectively. But the one mixed aspect of the film is the writing, where Superman is losing his cool, then starts to get so emotionally, yelling, and acts like a man-child, which I agree with everyone. But nevertheless, it's a very good, amazing, entertaining comic book superhero film, filled with fun, colorful, and earnest, although it was overstuffed with characters and ideas. I really liked Henry Cavill as Superman in "Man of Steel", even though fans still didn't care for it, but David Corenswet is right at his peak. A marginal thumbs up for me on "Superman 2025".

Hey, guys. So I finished watching "Live Free or Die Hard" on the Unrated Cut, and it was really good. It was directed by Len Wiseman, and it is the fourth installment in the Die Hard film series. It is based on the 1997 article "A Farewell to Arms", written for Wired magazine by John Carlin. Bruce Willis reprises his role as a veteran NYPD Detective John McClane, respectively, along with Timothy Olyphant, Justin Long, Cliff Curtis, Maggie Q, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The film takes place in Washington, DC, and McClane attempts to stop a cyber-terrorist, Thomas Gabriel, who hacks into government and commercial computers across the United States with the goal of starting a "fire sale" cyber attack that would disable key elements of the nation's infrastructure.

I really loved this movie a lot. It was truly awesome. The action scenes, as well as brutal violence, are amazing, the visual effects are incredible, the music score is great, and Bruce Willis is really good.
John McClane is still likeable, with his funny one-liners. It's a very good, summer blockbuster, entertaining action film, where it's not the best or most exciting Die Hard, but it is a lot of fun. It may be preposterous, but it's an efficient, action-packed summer popcorn flick with thrilling stunts and a commanding performance by Willis. Fans of the previous Die Hard films will not be disappointed. A marginal thumbs up for me on "Live Free or Die Hard".

Hey, guys. So I finished watching "Nowhere to Run", and it was okay. It was directed by Robert Harmon, and it stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, Rosanna Arquette, Kieran Culkin, Ted Levine, and Joss Ackland. This was the second collaboration between Van Damme and producer Craig Baumgarten, after "Universal Soldier". It tells a story about an escaped convict, Sam Gillen, who travels to a farm to search for money from an earlier heist. While out on the property, he meets pretty single mother Clydie Anderson, and her kids, Mookie and Bree, who are being intimidated by local land developer Franklin Hale. After falling for Clydie, Sam decides to stay and help defend the farm from Hale's thugs, despite the risk that it means for him as a wanted man.

I liked this movie pretty much. It was actually enjoyable. The action scenes are cool, the story is decent, the music score is incredible, and Van Damme is pretty good, and does have a nice chemistry with Rosanna Arquette. The character of Sam Gillen is interesting. Yes, he's a prisoner and an escaped convict, but he does quite have a little soft spot for the innocent civilians, like, he saved Clydie and her children from those goons. Sam claims he is camping and hunting on her land, and Clydie insinuates that he is not welcome, but later offers him shelter in her barn out of gratitude. Clydie noticed she's taking a liking to Sam. At the end, Sam allows Lonnie to arrest him, having decided to stop running. He and Clydie confess their love to each other and Sam promises to return to her and the children. It's a pretty decent action film, and it has a cult following with most fans declaring it as one of Van Damme's better films. It may seem generic, but it's a really guilty pleasure. Thumbs up for me on "Nowhere to Run".

Hey, guys. So I finished watching "Nightcrawler", and it was very good. It was written and directed by Dan Gilroy in his directorial debut. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, along with supporting cast includes Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed, and Bill Paxton. It tells a story about as an Los Angeles denizen, unhinged stringer named Louis "Lou" Bloom, who is survives by scavenging and petty theft. He stumbles into a new career as a cameraman and armed with a camcorder and police scanner begins nocturnal forays across the city in search of shocking and grisly crimes. When he catches the eye of a shopworn news director Nina Romina, who welcomes the chance to raise her station's ratings, Louis goes to increasingly greater lengths to catch the "money shot."

I actually love this movie a whole lot. It was really amazing. The direction is incredibly shot, the writing is perfect, the music score is great, and Jake Gyllenhaal is very good in the role, along with Rene Russo, who is also very good. I like the character of Lou Bloom. He's a charming sociopath, but also he's politely gentle and smart. I liked some of these moments, especially the ending, where Lou fabricates a story about the men in the Escalade following him. Detective Frontieri knows he is lying, but cannot prove it. Later, Lou hires a team of interns to expand his business, saying that he will not ask them to do anything he is unwilling to do himself. It's a very good, serious, neo-noir thriller film. Restless, visually sleek, and powered by a lithe star performance from Jake Gyllenhaal, it offers dark, thought-provoking thrills, with themes and messages. Thumbs way up for me on "Nightcrawler".

Hey, guys. So I finished watching "Run All Night", and it was really good. It was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Brad Ingelsby. The film stars Liam Neeson, Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Ed Harris. It tells a story about an ex-Irish Mob hitman named Jimmy Conlon, best friend of mob boss Shawn Maguire, has seen better days. He's haunted both by the sins of his past and a police detective John Harding, who's been breathing down his neck for 30 years, and the only comfort Jimmy has is whiskey. However, when his estranged son Mike, becomes a mob target, Jimmy figures that the only way to atone for his past mistakes is to make sure that his son doesn't wind up at the wrong end of a gun. It marks the third collaboration between Liam Neeson and Jaume Collet-Serra after "Unknown" and "Non-Stop".

I liked this movie. It was very exciting. The action scenes are incredible, the visual effects are decent, the music score is great, and Liam Neeson and Joel Kinnaman are really good together with their nice dynamic duo. I like the story, where the character of Jimmy Conlon has been trying to reach out to his son Mike, who is disgusted by his father's actions and refuses to call him "Dad" or involve him in the lives of his wife and daughters. Then Jimmy saves Mike and makes a run from Shawn's hitmen until they had to clear their names as fugitives. After all that, Mike finally appreciates Jimmy introduces him to his family, and now starts to call his dad. In the end, Mike is back working as a boxing trainer and chauffeur and living happily with his wife and daughters. He looks wistfully at a photo of himself and Jimmy from long ago before heading to work. It's a very decent, action thriller film, with Neeson's solid acting. It does suffers from a convoluted plot and workmanlike ex*****on, but it's another guilty pleasure gem. Thumbs up for me on "Run All Night".

Hey, guys. So I finished watching "The Old Guard 2", and it was pretty good. It was directed by Victoria Mahoney, from a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Sarah L. Walker, and is based on his comic book The Old Guard. It serves as a sequel to the first film five years ago, and stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngô, and Chiwetel Ejiofor reprising their roles from the first film while Henry Golding and Uma Thurman join the cast. The story follows Andy leads immortal warriors against a powerful enemy threatening their group. They grapple with the resurfacing of a long-lost immortal, complicating their mission to safeguard humanity.

I liked this movie pretty much. It was quite enjoyable enough. The action scenes and fight choreography are good, the visual effects are impressive, the music score is incredible, and the cast members, namely Charlize Thereon and Uma Thurman, are really good together. Although, it doesn't measure up to the first film. I like some of these moments, where Andy receives a note from Quỳnh and moves in Rome, where Quỳnh had been cast into the sea. The two have a tense reunion during which Quỳnh blames Andy for what she perceives as Andy abandoning her promise to rescue her. But after reconciling with one another, Andy and Quỳnh return to Tuah's library. There, Andy eventually vows to find Discord and save their teammates. It's a pretty decent, action-superhero movie, with a fine pleasent story, and a solid acting from Charlize Thereon. And I'm looking forward to a third entry. It did bogged down by tedious lore and lackluster ex*****on, and finds this budding franchise already long in the tooth, but it's a very guilty pleasure gem. Thumbs up for me on "The Old Guard 2".

Hey, guys. So I just watched "Inside Out", and it was... amazing. It was directed by Pete Docter from a screenplay he co-wrote with Meg LeFauve and Josh Cooley. The film stars the voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Richard Kind, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan. It tells a story a Riley Anderson is a happy, hockey-loving 11-year-old Midwestern girl, but her world turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. Riley's emotions -- led by Joy, try to guide her through this difficult, life-changing event. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness to the forefront. When Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley's mind, the only emotions left in Headquarters are Anger, Fear and Disgust.

I really love this movie a whole lot.
It was very exciting. The direction is incredibly shot, the story is well-told, the animation is fantastic, the music score by is great, the characters are wonderful, and the voice acting are excellent. The emotions are really important, and it's part of our feelings. Not only were there just happy, sad, angry, or fear, but also a mixture of emotions, like depression, frustration, confusion, and more. Now it's so hard for everyone, like Riley, who were really sad and crying in tears when they had their memories of what they did back then, and misses their old homes and friends. But sometimes, that's life. People had to move on, and their families understand how they feel, comfort them, and also miss their homes, too. But anyway. it's an inventive, gorgeously animated, and powerfully moving movie, as an another outstanding addition to the Pixar library of modern animated classics, with its craftsmanship, screenplay, subject matter, plot, and vocal performances—particularly those of Poehler, Smith, Kind, Hader, Kaling, and Black. Thumbs way up for me on "Inside Out", and Happy 10th Anniversary.

Hey, guys. So I just watched "Gladiator '92", and it was okay. It was directed by Rowdy Herrington, and starring James Marshall, Cuba Gooding Jr., Brian Dennehy, and Robert Loggia. The film tells the story of two teenagers trapped in the world of illegal underground boxing. Chicago teen Tommy Riley is asked to box in the illegal fights organized by boxing promoter Jimmy Horn. Tommy has bigger aspirations, but when Jimmy agrees to cover the betting debts his father incurred, Tommy agrees. He soon befriends Abraham Lincoln Haines, a black boxer helping to support his family. When Jimmy realizes that the friends are his two top draws, he matches them in a bout neither wants.

I actually liked this movie pretty much. It was really enjoyable. The direction is decent shot, the boxing scenes are exciting though quite brutal, the music score and songs are incredible, and cast members, namely James Marshall, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Brian Dennehy, are really good together. I liked the story and the character of Tommy Riley. He had just moved to start a new life with his father. He also has a hard time fitting in at school, having crossed gang members. I like the moment, where Tommy challenges Horn to a match by punching Lincoln severely enough to knock him out of the ring. If Horn wins, Tommy will continue to work for him indefinitely, but if Tommy wins, his father's debt is wiped clean. Horn accepts the challenge, on the condition that they fight bare-knuckle. It's a really good decent dramatic sports film, where it reminds me of "Raging Bull", and it has a heart of "Rocky". Thumbs up for me on "Gladiator '92".
