Czech film returns to the Avalon this Wednesday with SUGAR CANDY — a whimsical family adventure blending fantasy, humor, and a touch of suspense.

Set at the turn of the 20th century, the film follows young dentist Anička Jesenská, who inherits a mysterious villa and practice in a spa town where locals believe the house is haunted. After discovering a rare Peruvian herb that transforms her treatments, Anička suddenly finds herself attracting eager patients — and powerful rivals.

With the help of a determined group of local children, she embarks on an adventure about courage, compassion, and standing up to sugar-fueled injustice.
