THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST returns to the big screen — and to Center Theater on 66.

Mel Gibson's landmark biblical epic has been newly remastered, and it's back in theaters for the first time in over 20 years. Starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus of Nazareth, the film depicts the final 12 hours of Christ's life — his trial, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Every showing also includes a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the epic follow-up, The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One — Mel Gibson's sequel, hitting theaters next spring. This is your first look, and it's only playing during this run.

🎬 We need your input.

This summer, a bunch of you asked for more matinees. We added them, and they worked.

Now that school's back, we've kept the 4:00 show on Fridays (in addition or our regular 7:00 movies) on the schedule to see if it still fits your week. Pickup's done, the workday's winding down, and there's still plenty of evening left when you walk out. Plenty of time to drive over, too, if you're coming from out of town — we see y'all, and we're glad you make the trip.

Honestly, we can only keep a showtime if folks come to it. So we're giving it a fair shot through the end of September.

🏁 Ka-chow 🏁

Cars is turning twenty, and it's coming back to the big screen — our big screen, in a theater that's been standing on Route 66 since 1919.

Here's the part that gets us: when Pixar was building Radiator Springs, they came and drove this road. Historian Michael Wallis took the crew down 66 so they could see the real towns the movie is about. Vinita is one of those towns. This has always been our movie.
