I want to take a minute to talk about Coyote vs Acme. . . It's a definitive underdog story in every meaning of the word. At Quasar, as underdogs ourselves, game recognize game.
The real story of "Coyote vs. Acme" is almost as good as the movie: a finished film was shelved by Warner Bros., written off as dead, and left in limbo. Part of a merger, flattened under the anvil of corporate greed as a tax-write off.
Years later, with help from Ketchup Entertainment and fan-powered efforts led by Legion M, the movie finally made it to theaters.
Just like the Wile E. Coyote, the scrappy underdog himself, this film kept getting knocked down, only to get back up and try again. That's a story that we can relate to, and are proud to share with you.
In a world of dying independent cinema, drive-in closures and setbacks of every kind, we keep pushing the anvils aside and climbing back out of the hole to poke Acme in the eye.
Like this film, Quasar never really made sense to corporate America. Bet against at every turn, discouraged, derided and laughed at. Constant support from fans and stubborn fanatics has built and kept this dream alive.
Anyway, it's quirky and fun, with nods to the past, and dozens of Easter eggs for true fans young and old. That's a formula that we definitely understand.
