A packed audience experienced the haunting brilliance of La Llorona, a powerful production by internationally acclaimed Guatemalan director Jayro Bustamante and And the winning short films at Icaro 2024 👏. The night ended with a vibrant cocktail reception celebrating Central American cinema and culture. 🌎💫

In 2025, Ícaro NY/NJ will host two days of screenings, discussions, and networking in Union City, home to a large Central American community. The festival will showcase a curated selection of documentaries, fiction, and animation from Guatemala, Panamá, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, highlighting diverse voices and perspectives from the region.
