TOY STORY 5 starts Thursday at the Joy! Showtimes for Thursday and Friday will be 5pm and 7:30. We'll have lots more showtimes and plenty of matinees to share soon. For now, plan on coming out to see TS5 soon! You can always purchase tickets at the door - or follow the link below to purchase online.

Showtime will be 9:15. Admission for this show only is free. Guests for this show only must be 18 or over.

Once again, it's $5 TUESDAY! And we're also having our final showings of BACKROOMS. Now...due to an error on my part (listing a showtime I didn't mean to on our website), we'll do a 4pm show today along with our 7pm. So you have two chances to see BACKROOMS today. Be sure to arrive early so we can get things started on time. Enjoy some popcorn, candy and cool off with a Slush Puppie! See you at the show!

Schedule Time! This week at the Joy, we'll finish our run of the horror hit BACKROOMS (R). It runs through Wednesday only, so come see it while you can. We'll also have WEIRD WEDNESDAY this week, so come on out for that and let the weirdness ooze into your brain. Then on Thursday, we'll begin our run with Disney/Pixar's TOY STORY 5 (PG). We'll have tix for that one available soon. Start your summer with some entertainment at the Joy. And now for that schedule!

IMPORTANT PARKING UPDATE! Here's an aerial view showing part of the parking area in Tigard Plaza. Please do not park in the area outlined in RED when you visit the Joy Cinema. There's a LOT of parking in the Plaza, and it's very easy to avoid using this section. But PLEASE pay attention to this.

As I mentioned before, the areas closest to 99W and Hall Blvd. are good (just avoid spaces marked for individual businesses), and the 'lower lot' near Archers Afield, the laundromat and other businesses usually have plenty of room - especially on the outer edge of the property. Please just be respectful by avoiding spaces closest to these businesses so their customers have lots of room to park.

I'll share a bit more in comments, but I hope this is easy to understand and to follow. Most sincere thanks as always.

PARKING UPDATE. PLEASE READ.
I'll address this a bit more in comments and future posts, but we've had a couple issues with parking and towing recently. We want to address them so that our guests park in spaces that are allowed. This is a VERY new development, and it's nothing we saw coming. But I've been talking with the company that manages the Tigard Plaza property, and we're all hoping to avoid future issues with parking. They've given us some good guidelines that should work for us. So please be very mindful of these when you come to the Joy. Not to sound negative, but I'll start with areas to avoid.

PLEASE AVOID -
Please DON'T park in the area behind the Pacific Boil Bar and in front of Dollar Tree, Claw City and other businesses in this corner of the main lot. There are just two or three rows/sections for parking here, so it should be easy to stay away from them. These are all great neighbors, so we don't want to crowd them.

"FAVORED" PARKING AREAS -
Please note that we truly are guests in this entire lot because we're not owned by Tigard Plaza. Most of our guests have parked in the part of the lot that borders Hall Blvd. and 99W and have had zero trouble. We just want to avoid any SIGNED spaces designated for various businesses such as Sesame Donut, Rosy Nails, SNC Store and others. And the closer you can park to 99W, the better. Again, these businesses have always been great, supportive neighbors, so we want to continue to be respectful of their spaces.

There's also a lot of parking in the "lower lot" in Tigard Plaza. This is to the left of the main part of the plaza where you'll find Archers Afield, The Decorette Shop and a laundromat. Please be respectful and don't park directly in front of these businesses. The spaces on the edge of the lot are best. This lot is not often used by our guests, but it's a very short distance from the main lot.

SO...please follow the above guidelines. I'm doing my best to advocate for our guests, but please understand that I can't comment here on how the Plaza operates. Our guests have parked in their lots for years, so we want this to continue and to have good relationships with all our neighbors.

It's time for a schedule! This week, we strongly encourage you to come see director Baz Luhrmann's EPiC: ELVIS PRESLEY IN CONCERT. Now...you don't have to be a big Elvis fan to be absolutely knocked out by this movie. It's brilliant, dazzling and spectacular and it offers, quite honestly, a more deeply emotional experience than any movie of the past few years. So come on out for Elvis! And yes - we'll do a WEIRD WEDNESDAY this week, too, and we encourage y'all to come out and keep the train rolling on that front. And now for that schedule...
