We had a Fantastic Magic Show today at the library! Jeff Quinn, it is a joy for all of us to watch you perform. Laughter filled the whole library!!

Thursday morning Jess will be joining us from the Fremont County Extension outreach to share sensational seeds come and see who she’s bringing with her. We’re going to have so much fun.

This will be an amazing program for anyone wanting to learn more about how a storybook is made and you will get to make your own with a real published children's author.

This morning we hosted lots of trucks and their drivers who answered questions about the trucks and the jobs they were used for. We had about 200 people come out to learn and explore different careers. Did you know there is a bed in some semi trucks? Do you know how lines are painted on the roads and who does that job or what does IDOT stand for? Do you know what a veterinarian used a really long purple glove for or what they use to pull a baby calf? These questions and many more were asked and answered today thanks to all our sponsors that joined us at our Touch-A-Truck.

Week1
Monday we got the StoryWalk set up around the library, this weeks book is America the Beautiful.
Tuesday, we hosted David Saey as he shared folk instruments at the Lunch & Learn. We had some eager volunteers try their hands at a couple different instruments.
Wednesday, Dennis Porter with Happy Faces Entertainment presented a Family Game Show. We all played together except when the adults had to guess what the kids would say in one round. Dennis returned in the evening with KC Mystery Players to lead "Waves Of Danger " Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser. We had a great cast of characters from our audience.
Thursday, we celebrated America 250 in the morning, and later that day the Farmers Market was held in the library due to rain. Thanks to Cargill for sponsoring our Kids in the Farmers Market program. The kids made caterpillar bracelets, all natural bug spray, and other activities themed around bugs that live and help in the garden along with getting to spend their market bucks and visit with the vendors.
Friday, all ages came out to decorate a terra-cotta pot and plant a flower to take home, and we had The bug spray ingredients out for those who hadn't made it yet.
Although we didn’t get pics of them all Reading log challenges are already coming in and prizes are being picked.
