HEY ST. LOUIS, WE KNOW. IT’S HOT.🥵

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for the St. Louis Metro area.

Again. We know.

We know it’s been a brutally long and hot summer at St. Louis’ favorite movie theater as we make the long term updates to our HVAC system.

WE STILL HAVE OUR TEMPORARY AC COOLING UNIT IN PLACE, and while it does make a considerable difference at cooling the auditorium, we know this is a far-from-perfect solution. But! we’re seeing daylight on our long-term projects and we hope to have definitive updates soon!

In the meantime, know that your continued patronage of the Hi-Pointe is very appreciated as we all suffer through this long, hot summer together (projection booths are hot, too)

If the environmental conditions ever prove to be inhospitable, see our staff and we’ll do what we’re able to make your viewing experience a pleasant one!

WE APPRECIATE EVERYONE’S PATIENCE AND COMMITMENT TO THE THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE DURING THIS HEATWAVE.

Stay cool.😎 Stay Hydrated.💧

You’ve got two more chances to see this brand new documentary by director Alysa Nahmias, playing at the Hi-Pointe tonight, 8/11 at 6:15pm, and Thursday, 8/13 at 4:30pm.

“...every time we’ve seen it, there’s not a dry eye in the house!” —Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex (one of the executive producers of COOKIE QUEENS, along with her husband.)

Traveling back to the '90s.

📽️ JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS (1963), playing Sunday, Aug 9, at 12:30pm

MANHUNTER: THE FINAL CUT (1986)
(4K Restoration)

To understand the mind of a murderer, former FBI profiler Will Graham reluctantly seeks the help of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecktor (Brian Cox). Michael Mann’s neon-soaked adaptation of Thomas Harris’s “Red Dragon” remains one of the director’s most visually striking works.

This updated 4K version is both a restoration and a final edit—the digital scan of the original 35mm negative was restored following the new reference edit done by director Michael Mann.
