The Gerontology Club promotes student engagement with older adults in the Springfield community through volunteer and service events; provides opportunities for students to network and engage with faculty, potential employers, and fellow students; and supports club member's professional development by arranging speakers, workshops, and other professional development activities.

Gerontology Club hosts various community service events, professional development events, and social events which allow students to connect to the older adults, professionals in the community, professors, and older students. Here are some out our past events: -Sharing with Elders: a holiday gift drive that provides gifts to low-income older adults and older adult families -Walk to End Alzheimer's -Senior Citizen Prom -Cards for Veterans -Valentine's Day Cards -Valentine's Day Dinner at Springfield Rehab -Practicum Panels -Resume Building -Movie Nights -Annual Club Dinner
