Edgar Kennedy in FISH FEATHERS (1932) Part 2
(click fesfilms.com/fish2.htm to view)

Edgar's family fishing expedition evolves into chaos with doses of slapstick when the family sets up camp on the big fishing boat. In the process, Edgar's boasting about his fishing skills and aquatic prowess are totally debunked. Tom Kennedy (no relation to Edgar) has an uncredited role as Captain of the fishing boat. This is one of several collaborations with Edgar's close friend, veteran comedy actor, writer and director Harry Sweet. Harry worked with Edgar on three more "Average Man" shorts before dying six months later in a plane crash in Big Bear, California. Ron Hall wrote about his personal discovery of Edgar's work in a 2013 blog article you can read at:https://fesfilms.com/edblog.pdf

Enjoy the conclusion of Edgar's 1932 short "Fish Feathers" and then join us again next Saturday when we will present one of Edgar and Harry's funniest collaborations.

Movie Memory Time: HOW TO DATE
Did you learn How to Date from this "Educational" film shown in high school "Health" or S*x Ed class? Um... could be! Plenty of talk to look forward to when you reminisce with your watch group. More Movie Memories at tinyurl.com/uv8owpo.

Can anyone name this short or suggest a date like late 1950s? It is not "What to Do On a Date" (1951).

Dragnet First Episode: THE BIG HUMAN BOMB
(click the BLANK THUMBNAIL below to view the film!)

First episode of Jack Webb's DRAGNET, broadcast on 12/16/1951 with guest actor Raymond Burr. An ex-con bears a grudge against the city of Los Angeles and wants to blow up City Hall with a powerful bomb unless his demands are met. Only Sergeant Friday has the power to stop this 1950s terrorist attack.

I wish I could find better quality on this historic first episode. Many of the original Dragnet (1951-1959) shows are simply lost and not available in any format. We list 40 at fesfilms.com/public-domain/television/drag.html.
