Currently, the Texas Theater in Shamrock is the last remaining one where motion pictures of the stars and stories we love still flash across the silver screen every weekend--making it the "last picture show" called Texas Theater. The Texas Theater in Shamrock held their grand opening of the new $30,000 building in late August 1930. At that time he donated it to the Shamrock Economic Development Corp., who still owns the building. It is now ran by long-time resident Georgann Rion (Millet) and her husband David Rion. They welcome you to visit for dinner and a movie at the revamped Texas Theater. They appreciate your support of this locally family-owned business. In May of 2012, the Economic Development Corporation of Shamrock, TX - owners of the building and projection equipment, purchased a new state of the art realD 3D digital movie projection system. It comes complete with a new surround sound system and special 3D screen, and Satellite Delivery system of special events and digital content.
