Sorry for the late notice, but there is just so much going on...and we won't be showing movies this week or next.

This whole weekend October 3-5, the University of Alaska Fairbanks is hosting a 'TechStars Weekend'. It's a business plan competition for people looking to pitch to investors. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/techstars-startup-weekend-seward-september-2026-tickets-1994993099063?utm_source=chatgpt.com
It's being held at the Rae Building Friday through Sunday so we don't have an auditorium available.

Next Saturday Night October 10th, the Seward Arts Council and the Changing Tides Variety Show presents "Hauntings and Horrors", a showcase of all types of local talent! Tickets are available at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/hauntings-and-horrors-variety-show and we're expecting a sell-out so buy your tickets today! (their dress rehearsal is Friday night in the theater so no movies on October 9th either)

We'll be back with movies on Friday October 16th! We hope you'll join us!

Join us, if you dare, for an evening of eerie fun and local talent at Hauntings & Horrors. 👻🪓From spine-tingling songs and devious dances to offbeat comedy,…

Sometimes things just get set up…and it’s just right. ❤️

Everyone we know was saddened by the loss of Dolly Parton last month. Her wholesomeness, inclusivity, and genuine love for all people are qualities we would all be blessed to share.

One of Dolly’s early movies, 9 to 5, was the inspiration for many to create a Dolly Day on 9/25. As a kid, I must have watched that movie 100 times! So when we started looking at when to begin our annual Seward Winter Family Movie Series, it just seemed right to celebrate Dolly and her positivity on our opening night.

And this Friday, we’re going OVER THE TOP with a DOLLY-PALOOZA! 🤠✨

Bring a friend, put on your best Dolly-inspired look, and join us for one of the most anticipated movies of 2026,a Dolly Parton Lookalike Costume Contest, and then a classic movie starring some of the best actors of the 1980s alongside the unrivaled Queen of Country!

🎬 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 — AT THE MOVIES!

6:00 PM – Toy Story 5 (PG • 102 min)

Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?

🤠 8:00 PM – DOLLY PARTON LOOK-A-LIKE COSTUME CONTEST

Bring your best wig, rhinestones, boots, and cowgirl glam! Maybe you’ll even win a prize!

Dolly loved everyone, so we’ll be celebrating that spirit by choosing our top three costumes to receive prizes. Come dressed as Dolly — or simply channel your favorite Dolly-inspired look!

🎬 8:30 PM – 9 TO 5 (PG • 110 min)

A hilarious classic about three female secretaries who decide they’ve had enough of their tyrannical, sexist boss.

Featuring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 is workplace revenge, comedy, friendship, and plenty of Dolly all rolled into one unforgettable movie.

For those of us lucky enough to be here in Seward enjoying all of the majesty our backyard has to offer, we have some GREAT NEWS! We were planning to be ‘dark’ this Friday – but it turns out we have TWO BRAND NEW movies to show so let’s pack the house for a ‘Spring Break Kickoff Movie Night!’

We hope to see you and your family down at the Rae Building this Friday – and are really looking forward to seeing more of you volunteer to help out in what we’re thinking will be a great Friday Night!
