DRP stands with the farmers of Punjab and across India as they protest against the Indian government’s unjust farm bills. Bhangra is an art that stems from the culture behind farming and the livelihoods of farmers. As a Bhangra dance team, we not only want to continue educating ourselves on the beautiful culture this dance form is rooted in, but we also want to inform others and stand up for the injustices that the farmers are being forced to endure. Along with other South Asian organizations at UCSD, we will be accepting donations that will go toward farming families in need. Please consider donating in support of the farmers.

Big news, DRP is competing at the FIRST all-women's bhangra competition in the U.S., Raniyaan di Raunaq!

We need to get our team across the country, but receive no funding for this competition. Please support us with a donation! A little goes a long way and we are so grateful for anything you can contribute.

After a week of 12 hour practices, weeks of prop building, and 7 minutes of dancing our hearts out -we are proud to announce our 1st place at Bhangra Blowout 26 .
