As we continue through Banned Books Week, we’re reminded that while others may try to ban books, they can never ban our curiosity.
There is something beautifully human about wanting to understand one another and sometimes, the best way we can do that is through the stories we tell.
Books open doors. They introduce us to people, places, ideas, and lives we may have otherwise never known.
So keep reading. Keep asking questions. And most importantly, never lose the urge to know more.

WHAT IS KATHY READING?!

Heart of Glass by Jennifer Hillier

Okay… Jennifer Hillier had me hooked! 👀

A small town. Three friends. And one of them is found dead. Twenty five years later the person serving time for her murder recants their confession… and suddenly, the questions begin. New body found and more missing women?!! I was immediately intrigued and stayed invested throughout the entire book. I needed to know what happened all those years ago, what was happening now, and most importantly how it was all going to end! I really enjoyed the different POVs and timelines. There are quite a few characters and moving pieces, but I felt like each perspective added something to the story and helped slowly put the whole picture together.
And a little fun fact for Jennifer Hillier readers: this story takes place in the same small town of Seaside and features the same amusement park from her previous book Wonderland! BUT… you don’t need to have read Wonderland first. The two stories are standalones and are not interconnected, so you can absolutely jump into Heart of Glass on its own.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 4 stars for me!

Have you read Jennifer Hillier before? And if you have… is Wonderland worth moving up my TBR? 😂
