You are invited to "Women in Greco-Roman Comedy, History, and Social Life," a lecture by Sharon L. James, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Classics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, discussing how female characters and the things that happen to them vary between Greek and Roman comedies. Learn how studying comedy can speak to larger social and cultural issues and how these plays can be used as primary source material for humanities scholars.
