Society of Ancient and Classical Studies - SACS at NC State Do you enjoy coming together to experience aspects of Greco-Roman culture? Then Classics Club is for YOU! All are welcome!

We join up on campus and in the Raleigh area to do fun activities based around Ancient Rome and Greece such as festivals, movies, food, art and more!

You are invited to "Women in Greco-Roman Comedy, History, and Social Life," a lecture by Sharon L. James, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Classics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, discussing how female characters and the things that happen to them vary between Greek and Roman comedies. Learn how studying comedy can speak to larger social and cultural issues and how these plays can be used as primary source material for humanities scholars. Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 3:30pm in 331 Withers Hall. Light refreshments will be available. Sponsored by the NCSU Society of Ancient and Classical Studies, Program for Classical Studies, and Department of History.
