The Second Story building will be closed that evening.

No bus transportation will be available.

On Friday, July 3rd, some of our teens assisted an elderly home owner who requested help unloading a truck. This assistance was supervised by an adult volunteer. When we arrived there also were other family members present. It was brought to our attention several hours later through a post on social media that one of these individuals was a registered S*x Offender.

This was not this individuals home nor did we have any knowledge that he would be there and therefore had no knowledge of his background at the time. We simply were assisting an elderly woman who requested help.

We have contacted the local authorities regarding this situation. We also reached out to each parent who had a child present to inform them of the situation.

Second Story takes very seriously the safety and well being of all our teens. At no time would we ever knowingly allow our teens to be put in harms way.

We are so blessed by the support of our Second Story family and community.

A big shout-out to our Second Story teens who spent part of their day spreading gravel out front in the heat. Your willingness to work hard and serve your teen center doesn’t go unnoticed. We are so proud of each of you!

A very special thank you to Janice for her continued dedication to keeping our flower gardens beautiful. From pulling w**ds to planting new flowers and putting down w**d barrier to help prevent future w**ds, your hard work makes such a difference.

And an extra SUPER HUGE THANK YOU to Princeton Redi-Mix—especially Eric, Marc, and Kyle Cain—for generously donating and delivering the gravel we needed. Your kindness and support help us continue making Second Story a welcoming place for teens.

It truly takes a community to make a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who gives their time, talents, and resources.

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to enjoy all of the activities! A special thank you to the vendors who helped make this event possible and our volunteers who coordinated, supervised, and cleaned up! It takes a village and we are so proud of what we accomplished together!
