It's been over 13 years since the theater closed. My wife and I have built new businesses and we're very blessed that they have thrived. I'm in the position finally to build a new theater or perhaps even a drive-in. The industry has changed so much though that I do get concerned about investing into a service that most people enjoy in the privacy of their homes with streaming services so prevalent. I'm dreaming of a drive-in movie theater with a full service ice cream (legit ice cream) among other food services. I'd like to start getting feedback because this would be a massive investment in the community and I will not have any partners. - Julius "the movie guy"

Dear Friends of the PFT,

It's been over 5 years since we closed the doors and not a day goes by that I don't miss it. I like to check in from time to time to let anyone who wants to know that I continue my efforts to get to a place financially to give birth to a new and better version of the PFT. Still a discount theater $2 tickets. That is my hope.

I have so many fond memories of the theater and now that my daughter is 5 I share them with her and each time I pass by the location I tell her what it was and what it meant to me. I can ask her as we pass by if she knows what used to be there and she replies "the magic".

Anyway, enough with the sappy.

In an always continuing effort to gain enough ground to rebuild. I have partnered with Amazon with my T shirt business. Yes this is in part a shameless plug for Zefu Tees however all the money goes towards a new community movie theater.

Amazon handles all my shipping, so PRIME applies, refunds, customer service etc.

I have over 100 designs currently up and by end of October will have around 500.

With the holidays coming please consider my business as option.

I had a really nice conference call with some Drive in Theater owners throughout the west coast. The input was awesome. I was told my plan is sound. Also I under judged the amount of property by about 5 acres (10+ suggested). I am wondering how many people would come to an open forum for this if one was hosted? I would love to share the plan in detail and get feedback. Please leave your comments below. Thanks. ~Julius

Provide our community with a safe, fun, family oriented Movie/Drive in theater.
Impact the community in a positive way.
Create jobs. Jobs that can be geared towards the youth to provide both a meaningful skillset while teaching fundamental principles like an honest days work for an honest days pay. Our responsibility to help mold the workers of tomorrow is paramount.
Give back to the community in a meaningful way by supporting the schools and other non profit organizations.
Keep the price point affordable. Including the first Saturday of each month with free admission for all. Truly allowing anyone regardless of their financial situation to enjoy our family business without obligation.
Never compromise our quality of service, our commitment to community or the caliber of our character for profit.

Hello! I will be posting some very rough layout pics of what I mean by a hybrid theater since there has been many questions as to what I mean. Essentially it is a building and land design that will allow us to run a regular movie theater year round and in addition to that, a drive in theater during the nicer weather. Same Location. Also, I will be meeting with my former staff in the next two weeks and after that will have a great deal more information to share. :D THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! ~ Julius

Hey everyone. I've been getting a lot of private messages and phone calls about re opening the old movie theater. Just so we're on the same page the property that used to be the movie theater was sold. The inside has been gutted and anything that resembled the movie theater is now gone. It will never be a movie theater again. New property will have to be purchased along with the construction of a new facility in order to make this dream a reality. There's a great deal that still needs to be done. To be very pointed the goal now is to create a movie theater drive in hybrid. A drive in by itself can only survive 5 months out of the year at best . So by creating a hybrid facility will enable us to operate year around. We will also have an extended menu featuring cooked food made to order . Hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and the like so you can bring your family to eat at a reasonable price; truly making for dinner and a movie. As far as the price of the movies is concerned I want to keep it a discount cinema. I can't guarantee with the price will actually be at this point however I think between $2.50 and $3 per person with super discount days and other special events. Everything that we gave before to our community we will give again. Also throughout this project I will try to keep as much money in our community as I possibly can seeking out local businesses to deal with first. Like I said before there's a great deal to be done and we're just beginning now to do it. I'll keep you posted and really appreciate all of the help people are offering.
