60+ years of neighborhood movies in Squirrel Hill

Walk out your door, amble up the street and around the corner, run into other neighbors along the way or in the ticket line, and step into the theater! Don't worry, if you do drive to Squirrel Hill to get here you can always find a space nearby or in the garage down at the corner. What was your favorite movie recently? What's the first movie you s

aw here that you can remember? This is one of those theaters where you can see three generations in the same family in the same row from the same neighborhood. You can just as easily see many of our new neighbors from many places in the world. The gypsy fiddler might be playing out front as you come and go. She takes requests. Dear readers and "likers". This page was set up several years ago by a community member when the future of the Manor Theater was uncertain, in hopes of expressing community support for the theater.

Now it has been renovated, and has continued to be a valued part of the life of Squirrel Hill and Pittsburgh.

So, this page has served its purpose, and in a few days I will be taking it down. Thanks for being involved, supporting community based business, tipping the fiddler, and adding to the life of Squirrel Hill in the ways you do.
