Philomath Cinematic Arts We are a film club at Philomath High School. We spend our free time learning about the process of filmmaking through creating student-led productions.

For the next couple of years, the Philomath High School Cinematic Arts Club will be working on a six-episode miniseries called Aurora Nova. Our story takes place several hundred years in the future, after the world has been ripped apart by a major war. It follows a teenage girl named Tessa, whose family went into hiding for over a decade to avoid the conflict. But after the war appears to have sto

pped, what are they hiding from? Convinced by her rambunctious older brother and overtaken with her own curiosity, Tessa runs away with her siblings and goes on an adventure through the wilderness to find out what really happened in the war and what is left of the world they never knew.

To raise money for Aurora Nova post production costs, the PHS Cinematic Arts Club is putting on a coffee and tea fundraiser! The fundraiser goes through June 30th, so make sure you act quickly! Everything costs $10.00 and you'll receive either 10 oz of ground coffee or 25 tea bags. Products will be coming in mid-July. Every purchase counts, and we get 40% of the total proceeds. Let us know if you're interested!!!

We are so grateful for the opportunity we had to film at Crater Lake National Park! We were able to film in the park before there was smoke all over the place, and all the footage looks AMAZING! Oregon is a beautiful place, and we were fortunate to be able to explore parts of it this summer.
