ATTENTION ALL LOCAL FILMMAKERS: Walker Cinemas is thrilled to announce its second annual film festival on Monday, May 17 - Wednesday, May 19 with cash prizes of $250, $150, and $100 for first, second, and third place winners!
The free festival will be held at Walker Cinemas in Perry with auditoriums that can be filled up to half capacity with every other row blocked off. All social distancing protocols and sanitation will be carried out thoroughly with volunteers dedicated to keeping everyone in attendance safe.
In order to be eligible for the contest, filmmakers must produce an original “G” or “PG” motion picture. Ballots will be distributed and will allow for one vote per night, of which the three films with the highest votes will be entitled to the cash prizes. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, May 9 at 11:59 pm.
The festival will begin at 6 pm each night. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and the first 100 attendees each night will be given a raffle ticket for one of three $100 Walker Cinemas gift cards.
To submit your film, please upload it to Google Drive and then email us the link, the name of your film, all participants involved, and the county you live in. Submissions and inquiries regarding the event should be addressed to Shawn Bennion at [email protected].
