Opening July 17, Romería follows 18-year-old Marina as she travels to Galicia to meet her biological family for the first time. What begins as a practical trip to secure a signature for university soon opens the door to long-buried family secrets and a deeper understanding of the parents she never truly knew.

Written and directed by Carla Simón, this intimate, semi-autobiographical drama explores grief, family bonds, and the lasting impact of the AIDS crisis with tenderness and emotional honesty. Starring Llúcia Garcia, Romería premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and arrives at Festival Theaters beginning July 17.
