Maiden Alley Cinema

Maiden Alley Cinema Paducah's Home for Fine Film For the first five years of operation, PFS screened one film per month, Sundays at the Cinema.

The Paducah Art House Alliance (formerly Paducah Film Society), a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1991 by a group of arts-minded individuals who saw a need for an outlet for foreign, independent and documentary film. As interest increased within the community, programming expanded to multiple screenings. While the space we rented from Paducah's Market House Theatre was adequate, we

were limited as to how often we could present our films due to the demand of the Market House's live production programming. We needed a new home, and Maiden Alley Cinema was born. Since then, Maiden Alley Cinema has become one of the area's leading arts organizations, bringing the art of the film to a much wider audience. Our regular weekly films, special film events, children's programs and vintage film series provide an ever-changing and exciting embellishment to the growing cultural community of Paducah, Kentucky.

🎬🌊 Lights, Camera, River Camp is open for registration!

We’re excited to partner with the River Discovery Center for this special two-day summer camp where students won’t just learn about the river. They’ll help tell its story.

Campers will work together to plan, shoot, and help produce a river-focused video project while learning hands-on storytelling skills from an Emmy Award-winning video journalist.

To make the experience even more memorable, Maiden Alley Cinema will host the campers’ big-screen premiere, giving families the chance to celebrate their work in a true theater setting. We’ll also have the concession stand open so families can enjoy the full premiere experience.

Space is intentionally limited to 10 campers per session on a first-come, first-served basis.

This weekend at MAC!

In MOTHER MARY, Anne Hathaway stars as a pop star whose life is defined by a deep, ambiguous, and almost supernatural bond with a designer she left behind. Set heavily in a single location, the story dives into the psychological toll of fame, artistic rebirth, and intense, intimate relationships.

HOKUM is held over for one more weekend. If you came and watched it last weekend and loved it, tell all your friends!

MAC needs your help! Believe it or not, the spring is our slowest time of the year, and our biggest competition is a beautiful day. Only 45% of our monthly operating budget comes from concession and ticket sales, and we rely on grants, donations, and memberships to keep the doors open.

We currently have 55 members and $720 monthly sustaining membership dues and about $12,000 monthly expenses. In April, we made $5,971.95 in concession and ticket sales.

If you have some extra wiggle room in your monthly budget and love and support Paducah's only nonprofit independent theater please consider becoming a member today!
