Today we had the 3rd party, 2 were on Saturday! The Christmas Store 2025 is a wrap! I cannot remember how many times I heard both residents and staff say how much they love this day each year!

Thank you to everyone of you for helping! A big thank you to Santa and his elves for stopping by!

The Christmas Store 2026 will be December 12th! Watch for us in July for some Christmas magic as we prepare for next year's event!

On this day of Thanksgiving we are grateful for all of the support over the last almost 50 years! Our Senior community looks forward to the event each year and it wouldn't happen without you!
Lotis Blue Boutique will be open Saturday for Small Business Saturday. Bird Automotive is open Friday and Blended Bliss will be open Monday. Please consider personal care items, board and card games, giftable items, gift sets, AA/AAA batteries, gloves and scarves for all ages and postage stamps during your Holiday shopping.

Each year we provide snacks for the event at each facility. We are able to do that with your help.

If you would like to bake treats or buy treats that would be so helpful! They love cookies, cakes, brownies, candy and more!

We are looking for businesses willing to host our donation containers! We would deliver November 4th and remove December 5th. We will pick up donations as needed during that time.

The Christmas Store 2024 was a HUGE success!

There aren't enough words to thank each and every person, business and volunteers. We were able to get a couple of pictures, with permission, but know there were well over 100 smiles, thank yous and hugs today because you cared!

Does everyone know Pastor Pete Winstead? Well, our friend prayed for the biggest and best Christmas Store this year. It's happening! I've never seen anything like it! Blessings after blessings! We are all so excited about tomorrow!

When your baked goods are ready, call or text Rose at 816-651-9642, and we will pick them up today. We will be in town at 330 picking up at 12th and Broadway if you want to meet us. Calvary Chapel Church, just before the American Legion.

Good morning! I have been asked to let all volunteers know that we can NOT take pictures of resident's faces and post them on any platform. There will be a couple at our Independent living facility that consent for pictures but that will be it.

We CAN take pictures of the tables, decorations, Santa, etc. If volunteers consent you can take pictures of them.

We do ask that you please post on our page or tag us in your pictures. We want all of our donors and helpers to see the Christmas magic they have helped provide!

Yesterday I ran into a resident in a local Store. That smile reminded me why the Christmas Store is still going strong. If you are a new volunteer, prepare for hugs and tears! 🎅

We have been working day and night preparing for this weekend. If we missed a message from anyone we apologize. 🎅

We need hangers! 100 probably. We have so many new clothes and coats we need to hang them up!

We also need boxes to sort donations into.

You can drop them off at Lotis Blue Boutique , they are closed today, or at a volunteer's home in Oak Grove. I can also pick them up.

11 more days to our long time tradition of providing Christmas to our Senior residents!

Did you know that almost all of the residents "live" on $50 each month? That's why the simple pleasures are out of reach for them. Such as chips, snacks, batteries, postage stamps, "fancy" lotion, as they call it, conditioners, razors, aftershave, perfumes and colognes. Also gifts for Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors down the hall, caregivers and others. Your donations not only make them smile and so happy, your donations return their dignity.

So today our goal is to fill each donation container 1 more time! Located at Bird Automotive, Lotis Blue Boutique and Shear Madness.

Things we are very short on;

Batteries AA/AAA , we have toy donations that need batteries too.

Men's razors and aftershave
Men's gloves and hats
Men's slippers
Men's cologne

Women's lotion and powder
Women's deodorant
Women's razors
Women's gloves and hats
Women's perfumes

Children's gloves and hats
Children's bath and body products
Teen/pre teen gifts, board games, card games, small handheld electronic games, chargers, headphones, $5 gift cards

Christmas cards
Postage stamps
Large print puzzle books, pens or pencils with sharpeners
Adult coloring books with colored pencils and crayons
Bed pillows

Many items are available at our local Dollar Tree!

We have until tomorrow to fill the containers one last time this season! It takes a community and we love ours!
