🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! The first photo is of my sister & I celebrating America’s Bicentennial in 1976 at our home in Michigan. The 2nd is from today as we celebrate America’s 250th in Boston.
What surprised me is that I remember almost nothing about that day 50 (!) years ago. I’m so thankful someone (probably my mom or dad) took the photo, but I wish I knew the stories behind it.
As scrapbookers, we know our albums are about so much more than pictures. They’re about preserving the memories that photos alone can’t tell.
As you celebrate this Independence Day, don’t just take the photos - write down the names, the stories, the traditions, and the little details. Someday, those may become the most treasured part of the page.
❤️🤍💙 May God bless America, and may we never stop preserving the stories that matter. 🇺🇸
❓How are you celebrating this year's 4th of July?
