South African-born film director and producer, Bruce followed an unwavering, lifelong passion for filmmaking, first graduating from the University of Cape Town in Film and Media Studies, thereafter moving to New York City to further his studies at the New York Film Academy. Following graduation, Bruce was determined to stay on in New York and pursue his career t

here, where he opened his own production company, Lost Boy Productions. Through his own company, Bruce has directed and produced short and feature-length documentaries, commercials and narrative films. He is the director and producer of the highly-acclaimed Cuban documentary film "Alumbrones," which follows a group of graphic artists in Havana and tells of their many inspirations and struggles on the island. The film premiered in Piccadilly Circus in London at the Raindance Film Festival and was selected by the United Nations, Global Peace and American Documentary Film Festivals among others, with special presentations and discussions at Stanford and Harvard Universities. Alumbrones was also recently incorporated into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) Library collection. Through his production company, DKR Films, Bruce is the creator and director of an exciting new and original DocuSeries that is set across Africa. He is also a producer on the upcoming documentary "Revolutions," about the establishment and rise to fame of Cuba’s first openly-gay music group.
