Justice by the Pen(JBP) is a movement aimed at activating communities towards self-determination by engaging youth in social justice and community activism. Our goals are accomplished through a combination of free discussion-based workshops, group activities, films, field trips and various social justice campaigns during a year-round after-school program for youth eleven and up. Far too often are

youth left out of the discussion on issues that affect their lives; we want to not only ensure they are being included, but ensure they are in leadership roles inspiring their mothers, fathers, families and communities to direct action.
