W***y Wonka proved to be a nostalgic journey into childhood, offering a captivating glimpse into the life of W***y Wonka before he became an iconic figure. The film beautifully explores the significance of chocolate in his life, portraying it as a dramatic force that shaped his entire existence. Timothee Chalamet’s portrayal of the character’s childlike wonder was commendable. The movie excelled in comedic timing, featured great songs, and emanated a delightful Mary Poppins vibe. The revelation of the chocolate’s secret towards the end added an intriguing layer.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad Songbirds and Snakes

Rating: 7/10

The Skyline Review: As many of you, we have read the book, and as always the book is better than the movie! In the book you get to explore the inner workings of Coriolanus Snow’s mind. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t go into enough depth to truly understand his character.

There were three acts to the movie, same as the book, but act three in the movie felt too condensed. The movie is 2 hours and 38 minutes, yet it leaves out the emotional weight of the story.

We personally wanted to see more of Hunter Schafer’s character, Tigris, and her home story with Coriolanus Snow.
