There are movies we know are going to fill the room, and then there are movies we are just ridiculously happy we get to show.

TEENAGE S*X AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA is very much the latter.

It is q***r, funny, bloody, surreal, deeply specific, and exactly the kind of movie that reminds us why having an art house theater matters. Not every film needs to be for everyone. Sometimes the joy is getting to put something wonderfully weird on the screen and letting the right audience find it.

And sometimes those wonderfully weird movies are the ones that slowly start filling the room. CAMP MIASMA is still in the dipping a toe in stage. We would love to see a few of you skip that part and go for the big, bold, all out belly flop.

Music videos belong in a movie theatre.

Last night we teamed up with Dowd Records for a very fun late-night collaboration celebrating the release of CHERRIES, the new album from Beautiful Dudes.

After the album release party at Unit J, everyone made the short walk over to the Onyx for a 40-minute r***e of local music videos on our screens and through our stellar sound system, including a new video premiere from Beach Noise.

The gang was treated to free Onyx Organic popcorn and Hype Iced Tea, and the very excellent zebra-striped ride parked out front was a pretty perfect addition to the evening.

We loved getting to be part of such a fun night celebrating local music and the people making it.
