💙 In Memory of Casey | Su***de Prevention Month 💙
This is Casey in 2018, just 23 years old — a friend to many of our team members and the beloved brother of one of our former General Managers.
During his high school years, Casey was an honor roll student, known for his kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit. In 2016, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia — diagnoses that brought struggles most of us will never fully understand.
Eight years ago, we lost Casey to su***de.
At the time, his family asked us to share his story. Each year, we continue to share it — to honor Casey, to remember the person behind this photograph, and to remind others that mental health struggles are often invisible to those around us.
September is Su***de Prevention Month, but for families who have lost someone and for those struggling with their mental health, this isn't something that lasts for only a month.
So today, we remember Casey. 💙
Please share his story in his memory. Check in on the people you love. Listen without judgment. Talk openly about mental health. And hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
You are never alone. There is help. There is hope.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
In memory of Casey. May his story continue to make a difference. 💙
