Cineapolis, with Z Systems, is hosting the Minnesota48 — a 48-hour film competition designed to support and recognize new and emerging filmmakers.
• Competition happens over the June 9-11 weekend.
• Starts and ends from the Phoenix Theater in Uptown
• Screenings and awards: June 20
• 24 teams will compete. Teams can by any size.
• 3 teams will receive prizes for their next short film:
- $750 equipment rental credit from Z Systems
- Full production assistance and a small cash investment from Cineapolis
- Reserved screening slot at the 2018 Mespies Film Festival
We have room left for a few more teams! If you or any filmmakers you know are looking to participate, register in the next 72 hours to get the special $100 fee. Fees will go up soon after that.
We need more filmmaking in the Cities, and we need systems in place to support filmmakers -- this competition is another way for Cineapolis to encourage continual production and cultivation of a metro industry.
