🎡 What an incredible Carnival Day at Michiana Day Camp! 🎉

Last Friday was a huge success! The campers enjoyed an afternoon full of games, laughter, prizes, and unforgettable memories. Seeing so many smiling faces made it all worthwhile.

A big thank you to all of our amazing families, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the day so special. We can’t wait for more summer fun together! ☀️💛

🎡 Camp Carnival is ON and starts at 6:00 PM CST (7:00 PM EST) tonight! 🎉

We’re excited to see everyone for an evening of games, food, prizes, and fun!

Due to the current air quality, we’ve added indoor games and activities so everyone can enjoy the event comfortably. We’ll also have many of our favorite Carnival attractions outside, including the bounce house, dunk tank, and traditional carnival games.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic evening with our Michiana community. See you tonight!

🎡🎃 Week 6 is HERE, and it's one of our biggest weeks of the summer! 🎃🎡

We have an exciting week ahead, but first...

🎡 Camp Carnival is THIS Friday!

Join us Friday, July 17 from 6:00–8:00 PM CST (7:00–9:00 PM EST) for our annual Michiana Day Camp Carnival!

Bring the whole family for an evening of games, prizes, food, raffles, and fun while supporting the Michiana Women's Club and the camp programs we all love.

🙋 We still need Carnival volunteers! Even an hour of your time helping with setup, cleanup, or a game makes a huge difference.

🎃 We ALSO Need Trunk or Treat Volunteers!

One of our campers' favorite traditions is our annual Trunk or Treat, but we need more decorated trunks to make it a magical experience!

If you're already coming to the Carnival, please consider decorating your vehicle and handing out treats. It doesn't have to be elaborate—just a fun theme, some candy, and a smile! Every trunk helps create an unforgettable experience for our campers.

🎃 Friday: Trunk or Treat!
Campers are encouraged to wear a favorite costume that's comfortable for outdoor play and camp activities. Please choose costumes that allow campers to use the restroom independently, and leave non-wearable props at home.

⭐ Sunday, July 26: Michiana Day Camp Talent Show!
Come cheer on our talented campers as they sing, dance, perform, and show off their amazing skills. We can't wait to celebrate all of their hard work!

🌫️ Important Camp Update for Thursday 🌫️

Due to the poor air quality forecast, Michiana Day Camp will be fully indoors tomorrow at the Village Hall. The health and safety of our campers and staff is our top priority, and campers will not be going outside at any point during camp.

🩵 Parents, please help us by reminding your campers before they arrive that we will be staying indoors all day. We know some campers may be disappointed, but setting expectations ahead of time will help everyone have a fun and positive day.

🎬🍿 To make the day extra special, we're kicking things off with Michiana Movie Morning!

Here's what to know:

💤 Wear your pajamas to camp.
🍿 Our concession stand will be open with movie snacks and treats available for purchase.
🎟️ Parents may pre-purchase concession tickets at camp drop-off for their campers to use during Michiana Movie Morning.
👕 If your camper would like to tie-dye an additional item, they are welcome to bring one to camp. We will also have extra tie-dye items available for purchase while supplies last.
💧 Please send a labeled water bottle.
🎨 We'll have a full morning of movies, crafts, games, and other indoor activities planned!

🎡 Camp Carnival Update: We are still planning to hold the Camp Carnival tomorrow evening as scheduled. The current air quality alert is expected to lift around 11:30 AM CST / 12:30 PM EST, and we will continue to monitor conditions throughout the day. If anything changes, we'll communicate updates as soon as possible.

Daily Registration is now OPEN for today's available camp spots! If your child's grade level has availability, be sure to register before spots fill.

🎨 It's Tie-Dye Day!
We're excited for a colorful day of camp! Campers can:

👕 Purchase a camp T-shirt for $10, or
🌈 Bring their own light-colored item to tie-dye.

If bringing an item from home, please send it in a labeled Ziploc bag with your child's name and camp group clearly marked so we can return it after the fun.

🎨 Tomorrow is Tie-Dye Day at Michiana Day Camp! 🌈

Get ready to add some color to your camp week!

Campers have two options:
👕 Purchase a camp T-shirt for $10 and tie-dye it with us.
👚 Or bring your own item to tie-dye! T-shirts, socks, pillowcases, tote bags, or other light-colored cotton items work great.

If bringing your own item, please:
• Place it in a labeled Ziploc bag
• Label the item with your child's name and camp group so we can make sure it finds its way back to the right camper.

We can't wait to see everyone's colorful creations tomorrow! 🌈

We also will have daily registrations for campers in PreK and Grades 3-4. Please check back in the morning for the link to register.

🌅 **Adult Sunset Pilates with Regan**
Join us this evening at the Village Hall for a relaxing Pilates session. It's a great way to unwind, move your body, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening. All fitness levels are welcome!

We'll also be getting creative tonight! If you've signed up, we can't wait to see you. Be sure to check the event details for everything you need to know.

Looking ahead...
🌈 **Thursday is Tie-Dye Day!** Remember to send your camper with **one light-colored item** in a **labeled Ziploc bag**, with both the bag and item clearly marked with your camper's **name and camp group**.
