Noticing a lack of knowledgeable, highly motivated and dedicated persons available to the film industry, I set out to create a company that would gather historians, researchers, fabricators, and artisans who could not only work together, but also accomplish projects on a museum quality level. Jeremiah Hornbaker is an Art Director and founder of Artistry In Motion. With a unique combination of hIstorical knowledge, practical skills, and years of experience directing successful projects. Hornbaker manages all departments responsible for building the physical world which characters inhabit on screen. On historical productions, intimate knowledge of historical material culture, and methods are a necessity. With a background in historical research, interpretation, period construction and leather working techniques, Mr. Hornbaker is known for his incredible attention to detail, and limitless knowledge built over the course of his fifteen year career. His guidance and leadership on any production leads to an exemplary product, with a level of accuracy and realism which is rarely achieved in the film industry.

The Corps of Invalids at West Point, 1781-83

The Corps of Invalids, comprised of soldiers too weakened by injury or disease to accompany the Continental Army on campaign, joined West Point’s garrison in 1781. Since the Corps was in garrison far behind friendly lines, they wore uniforms of the British 5th Regiment of Foot the Spanish navy had captured in the Caribbean.

Upon its creation in 1777, Congress ordered the Corps of Invalids to establish “a military school for young gentlemen.” The Corps’ officers had a budget to purchase military textbooks. There is no surviving record that the Corps ever established such a school, but these wounded warriors may have been the first instructors at West Point.

This uniform is based on the resurch by Don Troiani & James L. Kochan. Found in their book Insignia Of Independence: “The soldiers of the Invalid Corps stationed at West Point are recorded in 1782 as wearing coats of the 5th Regiment of Foot in the original red color.”

This display was derived in the summer of 2025 and was officially added to West Point Museum in July of 2026. Thank you, Carl Ivarson, with Line of March for once again helping us bring history alive.

As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States' Declaration of Independence, it's an honor to contribute to this milestone by being asked to design a commemorative item for the reading of the Declaration of Independence and the historic events that took place at Bowling Green, 250 years ago on July 9, 1776. I found inspiration in the simple yet significant musket ball, and we crafted 250 of these symbols to be presented to new Army soldiers as they take their oath of service during the 250th celebration ceremony at New York City Hall on July 9, 2026. I extend my sincerest gratitude to Sniders Jewelers of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, for their invaluable support in bringing this project to life.

We have just announced and opened registration for our Revolutionary War Range Day that will take place on Saturday September 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Shadow Hawk Defense in Hedgeville, WV.

This event will focus on early American fi****ms including the opportunity to fire a 6-pounder cannon all under the supervision of experienced safety officers and fi****ms experts.

Registration is open to both participants and spectators if you'd like to bring anyone with you who just wants to watch. Registration is $250 for participants and $25 for spectators and includes waters, snacks, and lunch after the program (lunch details to be announced).

Washingtons Crossing Historic State Park.

The Park is undergoing a once-in-a-generation restoration project, which will include millions of dollars worth of capital improvements such as new roads, updated signage, restored buildings, and this stunning new Visitors Museum. Set to open in 2026.
AIM, Inc. was asked by Wide Awake Films, which was contracted to provide the new media for the museum, to provide the art direction for one of the new videos in January 2026.

George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River, which occurred on the night of December 25–26, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War, was the first move in a complex and surprise military maneuver organized by George Washington, the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, which culminated in their attack on Hessian forces garrisoned at Trenton. Washington and his troops successfully attacked the Hessian forces in the Battle of Trenton on the morning of December 26, 1776.

A temporary display at West Point Miliitary Academy Museum. Delivered and installed dressed maniquen 16June 2026.

Focusing on Dutch-born navigator, surveyor, cartographer, naturalist, engineer, soldier, promoter, and writer Benard Romans (1742-84). Who worked in the British American colonies and the United States. His best known work, A Concise Natural History of East and West Florida, published in 1775, is a valuable source of information about the Floridas during the period of British control. His maps and charts are considered better than any produced before, and also for many years after, their publication.

In 1775, the Continental Congress recommended Bearnard Romans to the New York Commissioners for Fortifications in the Highlands to oversee the construction of a fort at Martelaer's Rock, across the Hudson River from West Point. Romans set to work with his Company surveying the river and designing fortifications.

This display will highlight these early fortifications and mapping of the area that would become the U.S. Military Academy.
