The theatre transported you to a time of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture under the twinkling stars. In the years after its closing as a theatre, the Russell Theatre was home to several business until it was finally abandoned. While abandoned the roof was damaged in a storm which left the theatre exposed to the elements. Finally in 1995, a group of citizens stepped up and formed a nonprofit o
rganization called the Russell Theatre Corporation and purchased the theatre. This group is dedicated to restoring the Russell Theatre to its golden years and reopening the theatre. Now you can tour the Russell Theatre! Tours are by appointment only. You can send a message here on our page to schedule a tour, or go to our website at www.russelltheatre.org and use the contact form. Tours are $5/person. All proceeds go toward the restoration of the theatre.
