It’s National Ice Cream Day so we’ve gotta celebrate at Mammaw’s Place! $1 scoops of your favorite flavor in a cake cone, sugar cone, or bowl! $2 scoops in a fresh (making them right now) homemade waffle cone!
The bakery counter has Jack’s giant chocolate chip cookies, giant pecan chocolate chip cookies, giant peanut butter cookies, Mississippi Mud cake, cosmic brownies, peanut butter sandwich cookies, Oreo brownies, Dubai brownies, sugar cookie bars. oatmeal cream pies, and new today- pineapple upside down cakes (mini versions!).
There’s banana pudding, banana cake. 4 Layer Delight, and peanut butter pie in the cooler! Sue’s blackberry cobbler sundae, the Biscoff sundae, and the Dubai sundae are on the specials board! Come see us; we’re here until 9 pm!

5 days to our 60th anniversary celebration! (Thursday, July 23)

Remember that there will be a post each day leading up to the celebration with all the details! Each post will be a part of a giant giveaway-60 movie tickets to one lucky person to celebrate 60 years! In 1966 when the Kenda opened there were 45 drive-ins in the state of Arkansas. Today, there are two. A 60th anniversary celebration is pretty special when you look at those odds! Our customers are the best; even during the rough times, they kept on coming! We will have a memory wall Thursday night but let's start tonight! Reading through the memories, especially those of mom and dad means so much to us!

Remember: Gates will open at 6 pm- RidgeBorn will take the stage at 6:30 pm- Back to the Future will start at 8:45 pm! Our full concession will be available but the prices of hotdogs, small drinks, and small popcorn-the original snacks from 1966-will roll back to 25 cents!

Show food! Everybody has their favorite show food: show burgers, nachos, popcorn! When we opened the concession menu was much more limited: hotdogs, popcorn, and drinks! Over the years our menu has expanded and grown into what it is today! To celebrate the 60th, the prices of hotdogs, small drinks, and small popcorns will roll back to 1966: 25 cents each! Our full concession menu will be available as well!

So many customers over 60 years! Some of Mom's favorites were "those Ragland boys". Every Sunday Darrell and Darren would roll in, no matter the movie or weather! Darrell and his band have agreed to be a part of our anniversary celebration-Mom would have loved this! Another great double for you this weekend! Double feature Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7/17-7/19): Moana (Live Action) (PG) & Young Washington (PG-13). Moana will play as a single feature on Monday & Tuesday, July 20-21. The boxoffice will open at 7 pm on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, 7:30 pm on Monday & Tuesday and the movie will start at 9 pm all nights. We have some really cool metal Moana popcorn buckets and will have special Moana drinks! Admission is $6 for ages 12 and up, $2 for ages 6-11, under 6 are free. We have two ways to get your favorite show food! Order online at order.kendadrivein.com or place your order at our walk-up window. Remember we are cash or check only! Deciding on a movie for the anniversary celebration was not easy!
The first movie shown was Forty Pounds of Trouble, for the free showing prior to our opening weekend. I doubt many people would recognize that movie or want to see it! In the end we decided on Back to the Future, because not only are we looking back celebrating 60 years, we are looking forward to the future! Come see Back to the Future on the big screen! Gates will open at 6 pm; Back to the Future will start at 8:45 pm!
