🌟 The Rest of the Season

After Labor Day, we'll be working around school, sports, and events. The first home Luverne football game is Sept. 11, and we want to give our amazing crew the opportunity to attend, as well as we do have a few crew members involved in the football program. We're working on additional crew coverage for that night from a few of our crew who are local college students to family and friends, so Sept. 11 is currently tentative. Please watch our page for updates!

As the days get shorter and nights get longer, our showtimes will be moving up each week!

This week, Super Troopers 3 will start around 8:35 PM, followed by Scary Movie 6 around 10:30 PM. Starting each Friday, the first movie will begin about 15 minutes earlier than the previous week.

We’ll remain open Wednesday–Sunday through Labor Day Sunday, September 6. With school starting soon for all around the area we are transitioning to a Friday & Saturday schedule, after Sunday the 6th, until Friday September 25th.

🚨 Incoming to the Verne Drive In! 🚨

This upcoming week is geared more toward our young adult/adult audience, so you may want to keep the kiddos at home!

🎬 Aug. 21–23 & 26–27: Super Troopers 3 will lead the way, with our second movie being revealed in today’s official post later this afternoon! 👀 Any guesses? We'll give you a hint—it’s another R-rated film that should pair VERY nicely with the first!

🍿 Tomorrow (Aug. 19) & Thursday (Aug. 20): We’ve still got the family-friendly double feature of Toy Story 5 followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day! 🕷️

And looking ahead…

🎥 Aug. 28–30, Sept. 2–3 & Labor Day weekend (Sept. 4–6): Coyote vs. Acme will kick things off, followed by a TBD second feature. Stay tuned! 👀

Next week, we’re giving one last week dedicated to films geared toward our adult & young adult crowd!

We’re looking at Super Troopers 3 as the first movie (here for just one week), followed by a second film, TBD. I’m working with my Film Broker to find a second movie with more reasonable terms, as the previous option was too expensive to pair with Super Troopers 3.

Film studios charge a percentage of each ticket sold, which directly goes back to the studio. This is why concessions are so important to theaters, especially smaller seasonal theaters like ours. We do our best to offer high-quality concessions at competitive prices, from hot food and snacks to candy, ice cream, and of course, delicious popcorn with different drink options from water to pop & slushies (Which this year Frazil, with fresh and bold flavors, is our new slushie)

Please stay tuned to our page for an official lineup post of the accompanying film with Super Troopers 3 on Tuesday for the 21st - 23rd, 26th, & 27th.

We’re starting Toy Story 5 tonight around 8:50–8:55 PM, followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day around 10:35 to 10:40 PM! We will have this combo, today through Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday.

We’ve had a few sprinkles off and on here, but rain never stops us! The rain should clear around 7 PM, and it’ll cool down as the sun sets, so dress for warmth and comfort. PJs are always welcome!

Come enjoy two great movies under the stars, delicious concessions, and a night with family and friends. ❤️🍿

Tonight & tomorrow are your last chances to catch Spider-Man: Brand New Day as our first feature! Starting Friday, we’ll switch to Toy Story 5 as the first feature.

Haven’t caught Spider-Man yet and this week doesn't fit your schedule? No worries, we’ll still have it next week as the second feature!

Next week will also be your last chance to catch Toy Story 5 on the big screen. Join us under the stars Friday–Sunday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and stay for Spider-Man: Brand New Day playing second!

As for after the 20th, we’re still waiting to hear what films will be available to us. Our film broker is working with studios on our behalf, so we don’t have any movie plans just yet. Please be patient with us, we’ll post an update as soon as we know what’s coming!
