We are incredibly excited to announce that THE LAST EIGHT will have its Canadian Premiere at Lunenburg Doc Fest on Thursday, September 24 at 3:00 PM at the Ice House Theatre!

This is a film about volunteers, gardening, creativity and community — and the beautiful things that can happen when people come together and give their time to something bigger than themselves. 🌸🌿🛠️

Behind the spectacular Rose Parade floats are thousands of people who quietly make the magic happen.

The Last Eight takes you into those final hours and introduces you to the gardeners, artists, craftspeople and volunteers who pour their hearts into creating something extraordinary.

Because sometimes, the real treasure isn’t the finished masterpiece.

It’s the people you meet, the friendships you build, and the community you create along the way. ❤️

And bringing this story back to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia makes this screening even more special. This is a place that holds a very meaningful chapter in our story, and we cannot wait to return to Canada, share the film with Canadian audiences, and celebrate with the Lunenburg community. 🇨🇦

🏆 WE WON! 🏆
I’m incredibly proud to share that The Last Eight won the Best Woman Documentary Award at the Angeles Documentary Film Festival. ❤️🎬

And somehow, that wasn’t even the biggest surprise of the night…

Our world premiere was SOLD OUT.
To stand in a packed theatre in Hollywood and watch people experience a film that started as an idea in my head was something I’ll never forget.

But hearing The Last Eight announced as an award winner? That was a moment I never could have imagined.

This film has taken so much heart, hard work, late nights, uncertainty and belief to get here. There were so many moments when I had to remind myself to keep going and believe in the story.

And then, on the night of our world premiere, we got to celebrate it with a sold-out audience and a festival award. 🥹🏆
From Melbourne to Hollywood.
From an idea to an award-winning documentary with a sold-out world premiere.

I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring The Last Eight to life and everyone who came out to celebrate with us.
What a way to begin this journey. ❤️

We honestly can't believe we're saying this...
THE LAST EIGHT is officially SOLD OUT for its WORLD PREMIERE in Hollywood tonight!

What started as a little idea about the incredible people behind a Rose Parade float has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined - and tonight, we get to share it with a SOLD-OUT audience.

To everyone who bought a ticket, shared the film, told a friend, supported us, or simply believed in this crazy little project - THANK YOU.

From Australia to Hollywood... this is a pretty surreal full-circle moment.

Tonight, The Last Eight officially hits the big screen.
