Ayúdame a compartir ✨✨✨

#ValValdez, was 17 when he was shot. It was the summer going into his senior year of high school. “Hell-week” had just ended and the team was issued their football gear. The party he was to DJ that Friday night would change his life forever.

3 days in the hospital, 3 months of physical therapy and an aspiring athletic career ruined. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy he went. 4 years later, and now a War Veteran (9-11/Operation Enduring Freedom) Valdez found himself back where it all went down. After flexing his National Defense metal for a year while looking for work he realized he had to create his own opportunities and take matters into his own hands.

2003, He moved to LA to pursue a career in the music business.

2005, he started working at an independent record label, where he quickly rose through the ranks doing a succession of jobs including retail marketing, street promotion, college radio promotion, and national radio promotion. He assisted in the licensing of music for the official soundtrack of CW’s hit show “Girlfriends” that included exclusive original music by Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Kahn and Mary J. Blige. He assisted in the music supervision of MTV’s hit reality show “Adventures in Hollyhood” starring Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia. He ran the labels national street team and headed the urban radio press junkets for major motion pictures such as Jackass 2, Black Snake Moan, and Hustle and Flow to name a few.

In 2009, Valdez took an opportunity to start his own business venture partnering up with a long time colleague to start his own management company that quickly turned into a record label, securing a distribution deal with Sony Music.

2015, he relinquished his stake in his company to pursue personal passion projects and within the following year, he falls back into his true passion, talent management. But this time, it’s in the film and television biz. The new digs fit like a glove and very quickly, Valdez, is able to establishes himself in the business as a respectable talent manger by signing some of the hottest latino talent such as his most recent signing, Elyfer Torres, the break-out star from Telemundo’s, Betty en NY. Valdez’s company roster consists of names such as Mauricio Ochmann, Alessandra Rosaldo, Vadhir Derbez, and Christian Meier to name a few.

“The journey is far from over,” Valdez says, “Everyday is a chance to be great and do great things. I am a firm believer in the saying ‘Luck is when preparation meets opportunity’ so, I
continue to prepare myself for the next opportunity that arises.” He says, “Nothing will keep me from being successful. Not even a bullet.”
