🎬 Meet Tommy Robinett, the instructor for our Edit Like a Filmmaker: Editing Fundamentals course at The Great Film School.

Tommy is an award-winning director, writer, and editor who has worked on projects for Amazon Prime Video and Paramount+. He is the founder of Tommydog Studios and serves on the Board of The Great Film Club, where he helps support and mentor emerging filmmakers.

In this 6-week online course, Tommy will guide students through the foundations of film editing—from storytelling and pacing to workflow, sound, continuity, and building an editor’s eye.

🎬 The Great Film Club exists to bring filmmakers and audiences together through the shared experience of watching films in a theater. We host weekly showcases in Los Angeles and monthly showcases in New York, creating opportunities for filmmakers to share their work, build connections, and grow within a supportive creative community.

Submissions are always free. Most events accept short films up to 20 minutes, and filmmaker attendance is required so audiences can connect directly with the artists behind the work.
