May this month be a reminder to slow down and choose yourself more often.

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to reach out.
You are allowed to learn without punishment for being human.

Growth doesn’t require perfection, only patience. What’s behind you doesn’t get to decide who you become.

In times you need support, call or text 988.

Stress, anxiety, and depression can feel similar, but understanding the difference helps you respond with the right kind of care.

What you’re feeling is valid, whether it’s temporary pressure, ongoing worry, or something deeper that won’t lift.

Recognizing these signs is a powerful step toward supporting yourself or someone you care about with more awareness and compassion.

You don’t have to figure it out alone, support is always available. You need immediate help, call 988 or text “Got5” to 741741.

We also recognize that holidays can bring up grief, loss, and difficult emotions for many. Check in with yourself and those around you. Connection, kindness, and support can make a difference.

🌿 What a day at Green Lakes State Park!

This past Tuesday, we hosted our very first OCSPC guided nature walk celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month and we are so grateful. Dozens of community members stopped by throughout the event on a hot Central New York day and the energy was nothing short of wonderful.

We were moved by the stories shared. A mother and father who opened up about their son’s mental health journey, and two young adults who bravely shared their own experiences with mental health and depression. These moments remind us exactly why this work matters.

We were honored to have a small but beautiful mix of colleagues, family, community members, and incredible coalition supporters including the NAMI Executive Director all gathered in one place.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Educator Katie and Green Lakes State Park. A true Central New York gem!!! Here’s to more good days, together🦋
