No need to filter it, fix it, or make it sound okay, just naming what you feel is already a form of healing. The more we practice putting emotions into words, the more we normalize being real with ourselves and with others.

Letโ€™s normalize talking about emotions, one honest sentence at a time. If things feel heavy, support is always available by calling 988 / texting โ€œGot5โ€ to 741741.

Over the weekend, we were honored to be part of the Black Men United Free Community Giveaway on Syracuse's Northside.

Events like these are about so much more than providing supplies. They're about neighbors showing up for one another, organizations working side by side, and building a stronger, more connected community through compassion, service, and partnership.

A heartfelt thank you to and Yolanda Seegars for organizing such a meaningful event and bringing so many volunteers, organizations, and community members together.

It was inspiring to see everyone working toward the same goal: supporting local families and strengthening our community.

We were proud to table at this year's NAMIWalks event on Sunday, June 28, at Burnet Park. It was wonderful to connect with community members and share resources that remind people they are never alone.

A special thank you to Scott Herron and NAMI Syracuse for organizing such an important event and bringing our community together in support of mental health awareness.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is always available:

Fireworks in the sky, freedom in the air, this 4th of July is a reminder of celebration, connection, and hope, but itโ€™s also okay if today doesnโ€™t feel the same for everyone.
Wherever you are emotionally, you donโ€™t have to go through it alone, support is always within reach.

Help is available anytime: Dial 988 or text โ€œGot5โ€ to 741741. If you need a sign to reach out, this is it, take that first step today and let someone walk with you.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is more than a moment in history, it is a continuing journey toward equality, dignity, and justice for all.

As we honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black communities, we also recognize the importance of creating spaces where every person feels seen, valued, and supported.

We believe that hope, connection, and belonging are essential to mental wellness.

๐Ÿ’™ Menโ€™s Health Week: June 15โ€“21 ๐Ÿ’™

When a new baby arrives, everyone's life changes including dads and partners.

While postpartum mental health is often discussed in relation to mothers, fathers and partners can also experience stress, anxiety, sadness, irritability, exhaustion, and other emotional challenges after a baby is born.

To all fathers and partners: your mental health matters, too.

๐Ÿ’™ It's okay to feel overwhelmed.
๐Ÿ’™ It's okay to ask for support.
๐Ÿ’™ You don't have to navigate this transition alone.

Postpartum mental health affects the whole family, and seeking help is a sign of strength- not weakness.

Postpartum Support International offers free online peer support groups, including a Dad Support Group.
