ion where these conversations are especially impactful. The 2026 festival is scheduled for August 28–30 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. OutNebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan organization dedicated to serving LGBTQ+ Nebraskans through advocacy, education, and celebration. Our work includes community-building events, training programs, civic engagement, and policy advocacy.

Five short films. 70 minutes. Two ghost stories. One wedding. One diner on Valentine's Day. A first date that goes gloriously sideways.

The Short Films Program brings together five of the year's most inventive LGBTQ+ shorts, ranging from a ghost comedy in Phnom Penh to a wedding cèilidh in the Scottish Hebrides to a Valentine's Day shift at a diner in rural Missouri.

🎬 The Pink Funeral: A trans Chinese girl comes back as a ghost to fight for her own proper burial.

🎬 Kiloran Bay: A musical starring Alan Cu***ng and Jack Wolfe, set amid the fierce joy of a Hebridean wedding.

Some stories span generations. Others transcend time itself.

TWO EYES is an extraordinary cinematic journey told across three distinct eras—from 1868 Montana, to 1979 California, to present-day Wyoming. Through three deeply human stories, the film explores identity, love, grief, and the enduring search for belonging, revealing how our lives are connected across history in ways we may never expect.

Director Travis Fine drew inspiration from the long history of Indigenous cultures that honored people we might today recognize as LGBTQ+ or Two-Spirit, asking a timely question: What might our world look like if we remembered that history instead of forgetting it?
