The Official Convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), will be held 23-26 August 2021 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Following the successful, 36-year run of ShoWest, NATO and its members are excited to be producing and directing this new premiere event for the motion picture theatre industry. From exclusive Hollywood product presentations debuting a slate of upcoming films

, to must-see premiere feature screenings, to the biggest stars, producers and directors, CinemaCon will jumpstart the excitement and buzz that surrounds the summer season at the box office. The CinemaCon schedule will be broad, diverse, educational and fun, and will feature the largest cinema trade show in the world. It will appeal to and attract all facets of the international motion picture theatre industry—exhibition, distribution, marketing, publicity and advertising, internet and social media and of course, the theatre equipment and concessions manufacturers and dealers who will showcase the latest technological advances and innovative concession offerings at the trade show. The CinemaCon schedule will be packed with sponsored events, seminars, the trade show, screenings, product presentations and a gala award show honoring the very best in the movie industry. When it comes to Celebrating the Moviegoing Experience, it all starts at Caesars Palace at CinemaCon, The Official Convention of NATO.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees: Cinema United Spirit of the Industry Award – James Cameron, Cultural Impact in Film Award – Queen Latifah, Star of Tomorrow – Noah Centineo, Rising Star of 2026 – Catherine Lagaʻaia, Award of Excellence in Acting – Adam Scott, CinemaCon Vanguard Award – Zoey Deutch, and Star of the Year – LaKeith Stanfield.

The evening was hosted by Nischelle Turner, Co-Host of Entertainment Tonight.

THE DOCTOR IS IN!!!

An onscreen message from Anne Hathaway introducing a very special look at The Devil Wears Prada 2 kicked off the Walt Disney Studios presentation. Next, Jon Favreau took the stage to share both a brand new trailer from The Mandalorian and Grogu along with the ENTIRE opening sequence of the film.

The toys were back in town when the real life Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, surprised CinemaCon with an appearance and introduced two new clips from Toy Story 5. Next we found out just how far Disney would go when Dwayne The Rock Johnson and CinemaCon’s Rising Star or 2026, Catherine Lagaʻaia shared an exclusive sneak peek at the live action Moana.

Exclusive looks of 20th Century Studios' upcoming releases The Dog Stars and Whalefall were shown along with a look at Searchlight Pictures' upcoming Wild Horse Nine and Disney’s Hexed, in theatres this Thanksgiving.

It was a new Ice Age indeed, as Ray Romano, Denis Leary and Cultural Impact in Film Award honoree, Queen Latifah, joined to share the opening sequence of Ice Age: Boiling Point. And finally, Kevin Feige, The Russo Brothers, Robert Downey Jr AND Chris Evans brought the world premiere of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer and the Dolby Colosseum went so wild THEY DECIDED TO PLAY IT AGAIN.

HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!

The Paramount Pictures presentation got a jumpstart from Billie Eilish and Cinema United Spirit of the Industry Award recipient James Cameron sharing an extended look at their new film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour Live in 3D. From the ‘WAZZUP’ heard round the world, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Anna Faris were on hand to show footage from the newest release in the Scary Movie franchise.

Johnny Knoxville took the stage to introduce the trailer for the final Jackass film, Jackass: Best and Last. Early looks at the next installments of Paw Patrol and Angry Birds were shown before the fighters entered the arena. From Street Fighter, Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Eric André, Joe Anoa'i, Cody Rhodes, Rayna Vallandingham, David Dastmalchian, Andrew Schulz, Vidyut Jammwal, Olivier Richters AND Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson were all on hand for the world premiere of the film’s trailer.

New York Giants’ legend Phil Simms shared an onscreen message from David Corenswet who introduced a first look at his new film Mr. Irrelevant. Another onscreen message, this time from director Ti West, welcomed Johnny Depp, to the Dolby Colosseum who shared a first look at Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol. Finally, cast of the upcoming Children of Blood and Bone including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, Thuso Mbedu and director and co-writer Gina Prince-Bythewood brought footage of the highly anticipated adaptation releasing next year.
