Hi everyone. At this time we are still closed. Unfortunately we have no answers as to when or If we will be able to open back up. The upgrade to a digital system is something that's being looked into and is extremely costly and that is why you see so many drive-ins shutting down. Truth be told, Hollywood gets most of your grosses, and why they needed to make digitals systems/ upgrades sooo costly is something hard to understand. then factor in the operating costs...shipping films back and forth were $100 each way for two movies.so many reasons why little theaters have to close, In big areas, that's where Hollywood gives films first, where they have alot of customers and make them more $. Smaller theaters pay more in percentages as they make less income. You also have to meet a min. Gross or you pay a big flat fee. There's so much to running a theater. I said so much so you would understand our position. We never saw this situation coming but when it did you were looking at thousands and thousands of dollars to stay open. We thank everyone for all the support thru the years, we've had our ups and downs but the smiles and joy we brought to everyone is deeply missed. Thank you all.
Hard to let a dream die....

Update....the theater is not open at this time. Digital upgrade is needed/necessary to run movies. As soon as more information is available I will post it. We are extremely sad, but our hands are tied till the upgrade is completed. The upgrade is costly...so at this time that is the information as to why we are not currently up and running. A go fund me is not being considered because if we do not reach our goal by donations, we are holding onto people's monies and it creates a mess legally trying to return it.
Thank you all for your concerns....Raymond Dubreuil

Update: still closed due to digital upgrade needed and a medical situation with my wife. "As soon as there is more info to share It will be posted". I cannot begin to answer the NUMEROUS private messages/questions, sorry but appreciative. She handled all the FB info etc.along with help running the business. Thankyou for your understanding and patience. We miss running our businless. There is not any fundraisers etc..at this time nor a go fund me, Thankyou for your support. Ray

After receiving so much support via messages email, phone calls, texts, comments....we talked and decided as hard as this is, we are going to set up a go fund me to get our drivein back open, as soon as possible. We dont like asking for help because we are hard workers but this digital upgrade is so so costly. We dont want to be a drivein that stays in the dark.....our world is now down to only 300 open, due to the cost of digital upgrade, min. $50,000. Watch for our go fund me page- im setting it up today. We UNDERSTAND that even if you arent able to donate, your words have helped ray and I to work harder because it will be worth it in the end. Positiveness does amazing work alone...love to you all... "LET'S KEEP THIS DRIVE-IN ALIVE... The north country needs this!!!!

Hi everyone...I dont know who's more heartbroken...Me or all of you?? I have spent the day answering every call that has come in to try and explain why we arent open..Some people understand and some say "well its the cost to running a business" YES and NO....We opened in 2008, no clue about a movie business but learned so much over the years that has made us capable of doing this. From Movie agent to Movie Companies, vendors, state licenses, how to run our snackbar eqipment, how to put 7 reels of film onto the platters and the list goes on. What we didnt know was digital was coming around the bend. We believed we would eventually need it but not realize the movie companies would completely stop making 35mm film. Last year some companies were and we were limited to what we could play but this year we got the word NO FILM. Alot of driveins have had to close down due to the cost of the upgrade..minimum $50 grand and up (buy machine-installation etc and you are not allowed to do any maintenance on the machine if it has any issues.) You have to call in a digital licensed maintenance company (Movie companies rule and thats one rule of many to be digital). When weighing out the pros and cons you have to think of what income you bring in versus the cost to upgrade. You have to pay movie agent, movies companies get up to $75% gross fee that we collect at door or minimum cost per film we play (could be $300 per film for that weekend only), buy movie posters, shipping film in then back out, food costs for snack bar, all state licenses, gas for stoves/ovens, wages for staff etc...The reason I am explaining this is because I am getting people not understanding why we arent open. We are trying so hard to get the down payment we need. Some are not understanding and saying "well you knew you needed to upgrade, guess you shouldve planned better), not true. We had an idea but never expected up to $85 grand completed, cash in hand. Only a Few companies left that can finance the machine now without a big amount of $$ down. Ray and I are not ones to ask for help, but I am trying to convince him to try and set up a go fund me page...any thoughts as this is breaking my heart waking up every day looking across the street and seeing our drivein "in the dark"...I want to see the movies playing, all the children running around having fun with their family and most important giving back to the community and giving families a place to go to make memories with their family and friends....Sorry this is so long but we want you to know we are working hard to find a way to get back open...I am doing alot of research looking for grants etc...Thank You Annette Dubreuil

First off thank you for all the emails and phone calls. Unfortunately we cannot give the answers to your questions. What we can tell you is we are not closed for good. We are working hard to do the digital upgrade but its going to take alot of money. We thank everyone for the support. Wish Hollywood didn't make this upgrade to be so costly especially for small town theaters. Many drive-ins are not opening this summer as they cant justify the upgrade, atleast $50,000 now. We wont be ready to open by memorial day but we will get there. This place was built on love, tears and countless hours of hard work. We wont give up. Our restaurant will be back open very soon so we hope to see everyone back atleast for a meal and wonderful conversation!!! Your kind words is whats keeping us going!! Keep checking back on our theaters progress, I will continue to post updates. Thank you Ray and Annette Dubreuil
