June car seat checks…

Join us in June for a car seat check. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available at RISP barracks around the state to help install or inspect your child's car seat. The first check will be held this Tuesday, June 2nd at our Hope Valley Barracks from 10am - 1pm.

Continuous support matters. 💜
Policies can change to allow doulas to better support their families. When you are actually part of that change, the feeling is amazing!
This weekend, for the first time, I was able to walk into the OR by my sweet client’s side and support her while the anesthesia team administered her spinal prior to welcoming her baby via cesarean birth.
When I say, “I’ve got you”- I mean it. 💜
The most beautiful part of this experience was how enthusiastically supportive and welcoming the entire all-female rockstar OR team was with this change. Before this day, my clients were wheeled into OR alone, without their partners or their doula, and many had shared that that was one of the most stressful parts of their birth experience.
Thank you to everyone who worked to make this change happen! 💜
