Good news, yay.

The technician was able to repair the server for now. It’s a temporary fix, but it means we can resume movies again for now. The server will absolutely need replaced, and the projector at some point. Just a reality of computers aging.

Thank you to everyone that has donated and/or offered assistance, so far.

“Minions and Monsters” will be showing this weekend. Fri at 7:00, Sat at 7:00(3D) and Sun at 3:00.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately our server has now failed, which means we are not able to show movies. We honestly don’t know what to do. It’ll cost ≈$10k to replace it. The problem is we really don’t have the funds. And since we got shut down that second time, everything has been incredibly difficult.

We have never been profitable really, and have been operating off of passion for almost 24 years, working multiple jobs just to keep operating, when we really should have quit 20 years ago. Right or wrong, it’s because we believe small towns deserve opportunities, and Jackson has a really special theatre for a town this size. You can tell it was built with heart. It rivals single screen Main Street Cinemas, in much larger towns.

Jackson needs to realize what it has, rather than worrying so much about what it doesn’t have. There are truly some really great things within Jackson, that are worth supporting and appreciating.

We’ve been fighting for you. Now we really need you to fight for us, and for Jackson’s future generations.

The GoFundMe is not at all about profit, it’s for survival and to remain operational. Our primary source of income is Mike’s real estate sales. It is the only reason we have been open. The theatre, with the increased expenses, has just been completely unsustainable.

I promise, even if most do not know or understand, if it goes well, what I (Nikki) am working hard at, will allow us to protect and preserve the theatre for generations. I truly believe it will work, but I don’t know when.

There are people that try and support and assist regularly, and we truly appreciate their efforts.

Unfortunately we will are unable to show the movie today, 7/8. The server is now not working. Hopefully we can reschedule it for another date.

EDIT: unfortunately now the server decided to stop working, after the technician replaced the fan to the projector, so we have to cancel the show today. We will reschedule if possible. 🙏🏻
