DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND — WE’RE OPENING EARLY!

The acclaimed Minnesota documentary

ECHOES IN THE NIGHT: THE SEARCH FOR JACOB WETTERLING

will now open at THE STATE THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5!

We’ve heard from so many people asking about this film that we’ve been able to move our opening up a full week — and add even more showtimes across both weekends.

For nearly three decades, the disappearance of 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling haunted Minnesota and changed the way an entire generation of families thought about childhood, safety and their communities.

Echoes in the Night revisits Jacob’s story, the investigation that followed, and the search for answers that continued for 27 years.

This is a story that resonates deeply across Minnesota, and we’re proud to bring it to the big screen in Hutchinson.

🎟️ TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!

NEW SHOWTIMES BEGIN SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
with additional screenings continuing through September 13.

A powerful story.
A Minnesota story.
And one that an entire generation will never forget.

In 1976, Hollywood stood at a fascinating crossroads.

Jaws had changed the movie business the year before. Star Wars would change it forever the following year. But between JAWS and STAR WARS came one truly remarkable year of filmmaking.

Before Hollywood fully embraced the summer blockbuster model, filmmakers were still being given extraordinary freedom to take chances, tell unconventional stories, and make movies that didn’t necessarily fit neatly into a formula.

The result was 1976—a perfect storm of filmmaking.

Taxi Driver, Network, All the President’s Men, and The Outlaw Josey Wales are just a few of the classics from that remarkable year that we’ve already brought back to the BIG SCREEN during our BETWEEN JAWS AND STAR WARS: FILMS OF 1976 series.

And what’s remarkable is how well so many of these movies still hold up 50 years later. They’re funny, provocative, challenging, entertaining—and in many cases, just as relevant today as when audiences first saw them.

Now, we’ve reached the FINAL THREE in our year-long series celebrating the remarkable films of 1976!

🎬 THE BAD NEWS BEARS — Thursday, September 24 @ 6:30 PM
🎬 CARRIE — Thursday, October 29 @ 6:30 PM
🎬 THE SHOOTIST — Thursday, November 19 @ 6:30 PM

Three completely different films. Three enduring classics. And three final examples of why 1976 remains one of the great years in American cinema.

ALL SEATS JUST $6.50 + TAX!
