As of January 23rd, Bear Pause Theater will close due to lack of employees.

If you or someone you know is interested in a fun, part-time, stress free place to work, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.bearpausetheater.com/employment.html. Ages 15 to seniors are welcome to apply. We'd love to be up and running again by Memorial Day weekend. Thank you for your consideration!

Our Story

Bear Pause Theater opened in March of 2006 with the ultimate goal of emulating the fresh and beautiful atmosphere of the Northern Minnesotan town that it is located in: Hackensack. Now closing on on our fourteenth year of activity, this goal has not only been achieved, but continuously added onto.

Our theater offers four cozy and comfortable stadium seated auditorium theaters that any movie lover will sink right into. Relaxation can be taken a step further through our VIP room, which can be rented for anything from family get-togethers to the celebration of birthdays. Bear Pause Theater's on location birthday party room offers an even more in-depth celebratory experience. Our theaters may also be rented out for meetings, wedding, and much more!
