Dear Autovue (and other drive-in) Fans, we have not given up on our dreams of returning to showing movies under the stars in the digital age...but we need your help! No, we are not asking for money...we are not asking for sympathy or condolences...we NEED your INFORMATION! Within the past few weeks (and, most likely, within the past week) a person or persons STOLE our theatre's MARQUEE SIGN. While the Autovue has been closed, it has not been abandoned: we have been maintaining the grounds while trying to make repairs as time and low funds allow. This action was certainly unexpected and unappreciated. That sign belongs to the theatre...not to a souvenir hunter! Perhaps a student thought it would be neat to hang in his bedroom or dorm room...or some dude thought it would look cool hanging in his man cave or garage? Maybe somebody who collects Coca Cola items or a vintage sign collector thought it would make a nice addition to his collection...it is still WRONG, it is THEFT, and WE WANT THAT SIGN RETURNED! It is not going to be hard to identify: Nobody else has an 8' long GALVA AUTOVUE sign; so, if the person who STOLE our sign happens to see this message (or if one of our fans knows who has it) understand this: if you (or someone you know) made the mistake of taking our sign, thinking, perhaps, that the business was closed and would never need that sign again, RETURN IT ASAP. Just bring it back to the theatre and drop it off behind the white fence (that can be seen in the picture below of our now-signLESS marquee) and there will be no questions asked and we will notify the Galva Police that the matter has been resolved. However, in the meantime, I am asking for any information that will lead to the recovery of our missing sign. If you have any such information, please PM the Autovue (on this page). Labor Day Weekend is our FINAL WEEKEND of the 2015 season! We'll have a family-friendly DOUBLE-FEATURE on THREE nights (Friday 9/4, Saturday 9/5, AND SUNDAY 9/6) with the first movie being the Disney-Pixar animated hit of the summer, INSIDE OUT (PG) followed by Tom Cruise in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5, a movie that is very reminiscent of the kind of action and stealth one would see in a James Bond flick! (In other words, if you like 007, you probably will enjoy this movie.) It should be a good time for a last blast of summer with the kids...heck, Uncle Lewie and I may even dig the barrel train out of mothballs and give FREE rides to the kiddies! :) Box Office opens at 7:00pm and show starts at 8:00pm. Admission is $7 (ages 13+) and $4 (ages 3-12) with babies UNDER 3 always FREE. We are located just north of the high school in Galva. Bring a boombox or battery-operated radio. We do NOT accept Credit Cards or checks. We hope you can make it out this weekend for a night under the stars in Galva! :)

This Friday and Saturday (8/28 & 8/29) we will have the two most popular movies in the USA as a double-feature on one screen as we are bringing in the Tom Cruise action pic, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: Rogue Nation (PG-13) to be followed by the NWA biopic, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (R). Both movies have received great reviews, however, this will be your last chance to see Compton as we hope to get something more family-oriented for Labor Day weekend! Admission is $7 (Adults, ages 13+) and $4 (Kids, ages 3-12). Note, due to the 2nd feature being rated R, under 17 must be accompanied by parent or adult. Box office opens 7:30p and show starts at dark (probably between 8p-8:15p). Credit/Debit Cards and checks NOT accepted and we encourage you to bring a battery-powered radio or boombox to save on draining your car's battery.

You will have to travel a LONG way to find another drive-in theatre playing what we have to offer: The NUMBER ONE movie in the country telling the story of the rags-to-riches rise of the famous (infamous?) hard-core gangsta-rap band, NWA, in STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (R) will be shown on THREE NIGHTS, Friday (8/21) Saturday (8/22) and a special Save-A-Buck (single-feature) Sunday (8/23) this weekend! Our 2nd feature (on Friday & Saturday only) will be the R-rated comedy, TRAINWRECK, starring comedienne Amy Schumer. Box office opens 7:30p all three nights and show starts at dark. Admission on Friday and Saturday is $7 (ages 13+) and $4 (ages 3-12) with $1 off the respective admission price on our single-feature Sunday. Note that due to the R-rated nature of these movies, under-17 must be accompanied by parent or adult. We do not accept credit/debit cards or checks. Bring a battery-operated boombox to save on your car battery! We are located just north of the high school in Galva off the Atkinson blacktop.
