Happy Movie Theatre Day! (yes, that's a real thing.)

Even though the Bonham isn’t open today, we’re still celebrating something we love deeply - the magic of the movie theatre experience.

There’s just nothing quite like it - the big screen, the shared laughter, the collective gasp, the feeling of being transported somewhere else for a couple of hours. Movie theatres are more than just buildings, they’re community spaces where stories come alive.

We encourage you to support the theatre experience however you can all year long. Come see a film… buy some popcorn… sit in the dark with strangers… and experience something big - literally.

Don’t forget, we show films every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and we’d love to see you at the Bonham soon to keep that magic going.

Located in the heart of Fairbury, the Bonham Theatre is more than just a place to watch movies—it’s a piece of local history and community pride.

Originally opened in 1926, the Bonham welcomed thousands on its very first day and quickly became known as the “showplace of southeast Nebraska.” After closing in 2012, community members came together to restore this beloved landmark, reopening it in 2017—91 years after its original debut.

Today, the Bonham Theatre continues to bring people together with movies, events, and small-town charm that you just can’t find anywhere else. ❤️
