Marisa Anderson’s music transcends borders. The topography of her work interrogates the intersections of artistry and expression with form and tradition. A singular guitarist and voracious musical collaborator, Anderson crafts pieces bursting with equal parts reverence and curiosity, contouring familiar shapes into work that is wholly her own. Anderson has spent decades mining the veins of the complicated, interconnected American folk traditions she was steeped in from a young age, stretching beyond those traditions and incorporating the vocabulary and techniques of vernacular and folk musics from across time and beyond boundary into her work. Eschewing replication or revival, Anderson’s music lives in conversation with tradition. “My approach to tradition is with the hands that I have and the history that I have,” notes Anderson. “In that way it’s a collaboration–you don’t go into collaboration trying to play like the other person, you go in trying to find out how to play together.”

Coming LIVE to the Art House stage on October 20th- Imaad Wasif & Emily Kokal!

Dubbed as the “Acoustic Obscura Tour,” Imaad Wasif (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, lowercase, alaska!) announces a 2026 tour of the West Coast, doing what he does best - playing intimate venues and performing stripped down solo acoustic versions of his songs.

On this tour, he’ll explore music from all his solo albums and beyond, including a new EP ‘Demon’s Way.’ “I’m trying to reconnect to the embryonic pure state, outside of all the insanity of the world right now. This is the most vulnerable thing I can do in front of an audience. I’m leaning farther into the traditions of dark folk.”

Imaad Wasif is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and composer known for his emotionally charged songs and mercurial sound. He’s released seven solo albums to date including 2026’s acclaimed “Superconsciousness.” With a history including collaborations with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Karen O, Lou Barlow, fronting the L.A. underground slowcore band lowercase, and the psych-rock mavericks alaska! he

continues to push the boundaries of rock, folk, and experimental music.

Emily Kokal

Semi-native Eugenean Emily Kokal is a founding member and co-lead singer of Warpaint, the all-women indie music institution who’ve blazed a totally unique creative trail for 20 years. Emily’s angelic voice, artistic vision and theater-honed stage craft helped set the band apart from their contemporaries, and she’s now embarking on solo explorations which take her sensibilities to different landscapes and unexpected terrains. Producing music with new collaborators, writing songs for film and television, creating visual art, poetry and more, Emily is evolving what she brought to Warpaint into an expanded, individual path forward.

Coming to the Art House Stage on October 18th (this Sunday), 2026: Matt Pond PA + Bathtub Cig!

For more than two decades, Matt Pond PA (Matt Pond PA) has quietly built one of independent music’s most beloved catalogs. Blending shimmering guitars, rich orchestration, and deeply personal songwriting, Matt Pond’s songs have become touchstones for listeners drawn to thoughtful, emotionally resonant indie rock. His work has earned praise from Pitchfork, NPR, The New York Times, and Paste. Albums like Several Arrows Later, The Nature of Maps, and his newest release showcase a songwriter who refuses to repeat himself. Whether performing with a full band or in an intimate room, Matt Pond PA delivers songs that feel simultaneously expansive and deeply personal.

Opening the evening is Bathtub Cig (Hilary James), whose warm, understated songwriting pairs perfectly with Matt Pond PA’s timeless blend of indie folk and orchestral rock.

THIS WEEKEND! Minor Mirage (Minor Mirage) returns for another encore performance of their haunting original soundtrack to the 1928 classic silent film, The Wind.

NEW TO THIS PERFORMANCE: The band will open the show with a new composition for an excerpt of Strike (1925), the groundbreaking Soviet film by Sergei Eisenstein.

Starring the formidable Lillian Gish, The Wind follows Letty Mason, a young woman from Virginia who travels west to live with her cousin on an isolated Texas ranch. From the moment she arrives, she is beguiled by the relentless, howling wind that shapes every aspect of life on the plains. A force of nature becomes a psychological burden. Letty’s initial hopes for a fresh start are quickly undermined by a chilly welcome, the unwanted attention of several men and the oppressive landscape that blurs the line between external hardship and internal turmoil.

The film is accompanied by a live performance of an original soundtrack from Minor Mirage. Blurring the boundaries between western, exotica lounge and psychedelic surf, Minor Mirage hails from Eugene & Springfield and thrives in bringing new compositions to listeners, pushing the boundaries of cinematic music.

Coming LIVE to the Art House stage on November 11th, 2026: Corwin Bolt with support from Alice Wallace!

Local bluegrass jam host and former Wingnut, Corwin Bolt (Corwin Bolt) is debuting a new band at the Art House on Nov 11. They will be releasing an EP of new songs with drummer Jon Whisnant, bassist Josh Britton, pedal steel player Brandon Olszewski, and pianist Shane Allen, and Corwin Bolt on guitar. It will be a collection of classic country and bluegrass influenced material, some original and some favorites from way back.

Alice Wallace (Alice Wallace) was named 2017 Female Vocalist of the Year by the California Country Awards and her voice has been called “a powerful natural occurrence… an awe-striking wonder” by Saving Country Music. She previously released four solo albums, the latest of which, 2019’s Into the Blue, earned recognition from Rolling Stone Country with the title track being named one of the Best Americana Songs to Hear Now.

Cuttingly self-exploring, delivered with emotionality, and with just the right pop Americana sensibilities, Here I Am is Alice Wallace’s most expansive album yet. For fans of songwriters who turn personal heartbreak into musical gold and for anyone who loves a powerful, full-ranged, expressive voice, Alice Wallace is not to be missed.

Coming LIVE to the Art House stage onNovember 8th, 2026: LANDROID + SawBasket!

LANDROID (LANDROID) is the High Desert–based project of Cooper Gillespie (vocals, bass, keys) and Greg Gordon (drums, sequences)—veteran performers who spent decades touring the world as professional musicians before putting down roots in Landers, California. Population: 2,632.

After years immersed in various strains of Los Angeles punk and rock, Gillespie and Gordon relocated to the desert and became, unmistakably, a desert band.

Named for their adopted hometown, LANDROID makes music that mirrors the environment in which it was created: vast, cinematic, and ethereal.

Theatrical goth rock hits the stage with SawBasket (Crow) and their tales from beyond! Stories of zombie dogs, rogue souls, and more await you from their act! Blending elements of theatre with old timey radio shows, their live show experience is for sure one to check-out!

Coming LIVE to the Art House Stage on October 7th, 2026: Lou Hazel!

Lou Hazel grew up along the Allegheny River, where New York meets Pennsylvania and Northern Appalachia slips into quiet obscurity. In a landscape of cold towns, blue-collar fatigue, and early brushes with hardship, music wasn’t inherited. It was uncovered. There were no venues, no mentors, no real sense of a scene... just whatever you could scrape together with curiosity and a cassette deck.

That absence of direction, guidance, and art shaped Lou’s songs as much as any influence. His music echoes the loneliness of those forgotten towns and the strange resilience it takes to create something where nothing was planted. Blending folk, indie, and an eye for the overlooked, Lou writes like someone who’s learned to pay attention. His songs are spare, vivid, and weathered with warmth.

After years of solo touring and home recording, Lou found grounding in Durham, North Carolina, where a vibrant music scene and chosen community have helped shape his recent work. His latest record, Riot of the Red, captures the urge to get away from it all—the noise, the headlines, the weight of a world gone sideways—and find stillness in the simplest things: a long drive, a bare sky, a familiar chord. Lou Hazel makes music for those who had to teach themselves how to listen.
