Welcome to the East Haddam Library System. The EHLS serves the residents of East Haddam through two unique facilities: Rathbun Free Memorial Library (860-873-8210) and East Haddam Free Public Library (860-873-8248). *The East Haddam Library System's Getting Ready for Fall program has been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 4th from 5:30-6:30pm*

Join Cathy & Company for the final installment of our gardening series. This evening will focus on end‑of‑season and fall gardening — the essential tasks to prepare your garden and yard for winter, what to plant in late summer and fall, and how to make the most of cool‑season crops like cole crops. It’s a great chance to learn those “what should I be doing now?” tips that make a big difference heading into the colder months.

We’ll wrap up the night with a live succulent demonstration. While they may not be outdoor garden plants for winter, succulents are beautiful, low‑maintenance companions for the colder season. Learn how to plant them, care for them, and enjoy their color and texture indoors all winter long. Registration required. For Teens & Adults. At EHFPL, Friday, September 4th from 5:30-6:30pm.
